Introducing Barca's Squad for 2012-2013
Well, other than the possibilities of moves for a couple of players our squad for the season is finalised and the numbers are all but official.
I've spent some time creating threads for each of our players and I have then updated the Archives where you can find any 'player thread' at any time.
Please use player threads for general comments regarding the player. Use your own discretion, if you think your post is worthy of a new thread go ahead and make one. If its just general comments though, keep them on these threads. Dani or I may choose to merge threads with the 'official' one.
Final request is a bit of fun. Nicknames... We got a few last season. Does anybody have some suggestions for our new players? Or maybe you would like to add a nickname to an existing thread? If we think its good enough we will go with it.
Also... any graphic designers/photoshoppers? Can somebody pleeeease photoshop the Flash costume on to Tello for his thread
So here is our squad... check out the threads for now and when this dies find the links at -- https://goallegacy.forumotion.com/t78-the-press-room#195

Numbers 1-25 are always the 'first team' numbers. Thats why I left the little gap.
So Bartra, Dos Santos and Montoya have been promoted.
Muniesa was supposed to be promoted, but his injury means he probably won't be registered with the first team and instead when he comes back he will be able to get some time with the reserves.
Tello is an interesting case which I think mirrors say Busquets or Jeffren. He hasn't been given a first-team number, but he will probably spend a lot if not most of the season with them. I think the first game showed he's ready and Tito backs him. Maybe if Afellay and Dos Santos leave, he could be automatically promoted, but my guess is he could be promoted in January or simply stay as #37 and be promoted next year. Its all a bit complicated... essentially he is not 'officially registered' as a first team player. He is, however, being paid first-team wages...
Roberto is also an interesting one... Busquets also wore the 28 in his first season. If JDS leaves Roberto could spend a lot of time with the first team. So he could be put in a similar case to Tello. However, better that he still has option of time with Barca B.

Re: Introducing Barca's Squad for 2012-2013
Wembley's always been good to us.. I'm optimistic as always.
---
Since I presume we're done making purchases how would everyone grade this window, based on the players that came in/promoted.
[B-] would be my grade
We upgraded and we're set at LB for like a decade and although we did not sign a CB we at least have a physical presence/player in Song. Who I believe will be a success as soon as he gels in.

Re: Introducing Barca's Squad for 2012-2013
Answering two of the questions that have been asked here.
Transfer window grade = C
Regular front three = Messi, Pedro, Alexis. If Villa shows he's back to his best he will come in. There will be sufficient rotation with Cuenca and Tello getting decent game time.
It's the midfield where I am more confused. If Tito strictly plays three midfielders as I too desire then who will be the two alongside Busquets? One answer is they should obviously be Xavi and Iniesta. However that would mean keeping a player like Fabregas on bench for long periods. I really doubt Tito can do this. Hence I can't say how he will handle this but I am eager to know.

Play Xavi and Iniesta in midfield. It's that simple. Fàbregas should be super-sub on this team. Xaviesta + Busquets and three forwards = winning. Enough of 3-4-3 just to fit Cesc in it. Cesc should be sub, let's hope he warms the bench tomorrow, and start at the weekend vs Osasuna to give Xavi a rest.

This will happen. If Tito has sense, he will start Fabregas against Osuanna with the amount of playing time Xavi has. I do hope Pedro and Alexis start with Messi up front and Iniesta is in the middle. Not just because of the birlliance of Xaviniesta but because I find that Fabregas does make a massive difference when he comes off the bench.
