What a handsome and posh boy he is.
Shaving his hair and taking him to a survival camp for a couple of weeks could do him a lot of good.
He is soooo soft at the moment.

Re: Marc Bartra
Yes I liked your recommendation of sending him to Syria lol. Harden him up. Someone needs to just hit him till he gets a bit angry, then unleash him on the field. Just needs some added aggression, Puyi-like awareness.
As for the looks... I'm sure Barca fangirls are going mad with him, Roberto and Tello getting more exposure.

From the games he has played already, I am looking very calm for our 5th choice centreback. He has shown great positioning, decent in the air and quite quick

I've always liked him. Is he ready for the step up? I'm not sure, but I guess we'll find out.
Either way, I've always liked him, I think he has a potentially good future at the club.

Ouch. We all know how much that hurts. Yikes! Inflammation resulting from a blow? That must have been quite bad.

Re: Marc Bartra
He seriously needs a better go than this. A perfect promotion, a person we needed and we aren't using him. Tito says he is going to use Barta but hopefully he doesn't just use him for Copa games. That would just be mean

Good game on Tuesday, opposite to Fontas Bartra has talent, I hope he will play more in upcoming weeks. Bartra > Song, Adriano for CB, Tito should give boy more opportunities.

Re: Marc Bartra
Matpol is like a manicheist. He either loves a player so he wants to have his babies or hates him to the point he wants him to be ostracized.
Now he has decided that Fontàs is the worst CB in history and doesn't have aboslutely anything good, and has decided this based on 5 first team appareances, 2 of them as CB.
On the other hand, he has decided that Bartra is miles better than Fontas, Song and Adriano and should be a starter while there are injuries, all this based in 1 game in the first team.
Sure, that's how it works.

I hate Fontas and I'm very happy that this scrub won't play in our team. Adieu Scrubtas. As for Bartra, he is true CB so it's normal that I prefer him than LB Adriano and DM Song as CB. I didn't write that Bartra is miles better than Song and Adriano, where did you find it? Either way, normal CB (Bartra) > makeshift CB (Adriano, Song) IMO.

Re: Marc Bartra
Still you have zero reason to hate on Fontas who never got a chance with first team and his random little showings can hardly be used as evidence. In these games he wasn't even poor either... He was quite good in a couple.
Bartra has more talent but there are certainly some things he could learn of Fonti.
Fontas excelled the season before he was promoted (playing in Segunda, not scrubs) and was one of B's best players. Way better than Oriol Romeu at DM, who is now apparently amazing because he showed he can pass a ball better than some English duds at Chelsea.
Fontas never got a chance... no need to build him up or hate on him. Lets see how he goes at Mallorca... My guess is he'll do well and prove you wrong.

Re: Marc Bartra
I'm not sure Fontas never got a chance. Fontas had plenty chances to prove to Pep that he should start, and had opportunities to do so when Pique and Puyol were injured for long stretches of time. But he failed to do so. Pep isn't exactly shy from promoting players, so I really put more blame on him than on Pep that we never got to see what he was made out of. I'm not saying he was not unlucky with injuries, but comments like "this is not a social club" make me think that perhaps he wasn't all that committed in training.
Now that he's with Mallorca we can judge whether he's good enough for us, but I think management has already made their decision.

Re: Marc Bartra
Before Fontas got promoted, he had played many games for Barca and excelled very well. It was only when he got promoted and played in preseason that Pep discovered that his weaknesses. Through preseason, his status at Barca dipped and well injury didn't help his chnaces to impress either. With Song coming in, Fonti pretty much had zero chance of getting a walk on the pitch.
Anyway getting back to the topic, Barta will hopefully play in the centre of defense on the weekend. Can't say he has proved his worth in just game in which he wasn't really tested though away against Celta should prove whether he is good enough to even start against the average games. Just needs to toughen up. Like in preseason, tends to get soft going into challenges. Has a good head and hopefully it can be used for defending corners as well as attacking them as well.
Really have hope for this guy. Trust in him Tito!

Couple of good games from Bartra though he was hardly tested. The thing I am most impressed by is his anticipation. He looks to have very good anticipation for a CB.Definitely should be tried in all the Copa games and the coming inconsequential CL games.

Re: Marc Bartra
Hope he gets minutes against Celta... Start him and if Pique is ready to play, place him in defense after a hours play. Still hasn't been tested and if we play to our full potential at home against Celta, I don't think he will still be tested...
Looks good though in terms of aerial balls, positioning and tackling...

barcastuff @barcastuff
Besides the game against Celta on Saturday, Pique will probably also miss the Champions League match against Celtic next week.
Pique is a long term absence. I just hope Batra has a good-run and takes Pique's spot alongside Puyol..thats my dream anyway.
Puyol will be back soon though...he is even doing push-ups already!!

So at first I thought this was just a few girls singing a lovesong to him, but it turns out its like a Catalan girl-version of One Direction or something and they visited the club. I'm sure they requested him anyway.
