Is This Proof That Barcas Squad is too thin?

We all know Pep prefers to use a smaller squad and maintain the same XI regularly, but as a result of this players like Xavi and Messi have played alot of football over the last few seasons, and Pep has had to use players like Mascherano as a CB and hes had to heavily rely on young players like Tello, Cuenca, Adriano etc

if Pep did have a few more squad players and thus didnt have to rely as heavily on younger players as well as messi, xavi etc, imo barca would be better off and i think this string of losses is the proof of it really, players like messi look tired and to play Tello in Classico was a massive gamble that Pep shouldnt have needed to take

absolutely, they are short attacking options. too often they look to messi to finish chances, sanchez has been picking up a lot of slack, but other than that they need pedro to step up.

and particularly now with their defense lacking abidal, it seems like they are short a defender too.

we got the firepower but they need to wake the fcuk up and be more ruthless/clinical, would of been in CL final if they finish half the chances they got! we're in desperate need of a lb and cb

Therein lies the problem. They have one, and a very good one, in David Villa. The problem is that he broke his leg, so they are once again without a traditional forward. (You could argue that Pedro can play the wide forward role well, but Pep has been unwilling to use him at times this season.) THerefore, the problem is once again a lack of depth in role, if not in position. They have players that can play in Villa's position, but not fill his role.

I was one of the first when I said that Pep needs to loan a natural goalscorer for barcelona to replace Villa. YET some people here dared to argue back

The only thing "this" proves is that Farca are a one dimensional team. They have an inept coach who only knows 1 way of solving an issue.

They should have bought Suarez.

I know, the broken record has returned, and this season hasn't been Suarez', but I am positive things would have been different for Barcelona.
