The Press Room
This is Kizz talking guys! Editing Khaled's post here as I can't re-post at the start of this thread. This is the new amalgamated Archives, News and Highlights thread- aptly called the Press Room as it will deal with the media!
The archives are below and we will add to them as this season gets underway... I will shortly begin adding to it... Goal of the Preseason and then Goal of the Months etc! Continue to post news and highlight videos in this thread.
Cheers, Kizz

Re: The Press Room
Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is not happy with the plaudits that his team have received since winning the Champions League last weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s side comprehensively defeated English champions Manchester United 3-1 in the final at London’s Wembley Stadium to win the competition for the fourth time in their history.
Barca’s display against the Red Devils has been rated as one of the best performances ever in a European Cup final and even United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and his players acknowledged that they were deservedly defeated by the Spanish champions.
However, Rosell believes that Barcelona’s performance on May 28 has not been talked about as much as it should have and is quoted as saying by the club’s official website: “I’m sad that some people around the club haven’t known how to enjoy the Wembley win and the great work we’ve done.
“I want to speak up for this squad, this team and this coach. I’ve got the best team in the world, we’ve won the Champions League and the important thing is how we won it. I’m happy to speak up for the team. If this had happened anywhere else, they’d still be talking about it.”
This season’s Champions League triumph was Barcelona’s second in three years under coach Pep Guardiola, who also led them to the semi-finals of Europe’s premier club competition in the 2009-10 campaign.

Andrea Pirlo (Juventus, ex-AC Milan): "Rossi deserves to play at a team like Barcelona and I'm confident he'd do great there." [sport]
Lionel Messi can win three consecutive Ballon d'Ors - Barcelona's Eric Abidal
"I have a very good feeling about Lionel. Two seasons ago, I told him that he was able to win the Ballon d'Or three times in a row. The truth is that he is very close to doing just that. I am delighted him for him that he is the best player of the world."
The versatile stopper, who triumphantly recovered from an operation to remove a tumour on his liver in March to take part in the Champions League final, then went on to discuss his personal future and made it clear that he is keen to stay at his current club.
"It is my goal to finish my career at Barcelona. I still have a contract for one more year and the club wants to renew my deal. I am pretty confident that we will be able to reach an agreement."
The 31-year-old has made over 100 appearances for the Catalans since joining them from Lyon in the summer of 2007.

bad move.but i guess cesc and thiago cannot play together.buy back option is good for me but i doubt he would get more playing time at arsenal than at barca.
