Per Mertesacker has no problem from Arsenal fans' new blue chant for him.
The Mirror says their tribute to the 6-foot-6 centre back goes: “Big f***ing German, we’ve got a big f***ing German”.
Mertesacker certainly didn’t seem to mind when it was aired at Norwich on Saturday, laughing and acknowledging the crowd with a thumbs-up.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal hero Martin Keown has hailed the application of his former Gunners teammate Robin van Persie.
Keown wrote in his column for the Daily Mail: "Watching the exquisite finish by Robin van Persie for his second goal against Norwich, one thing stood out: he had scored again with his right foot.
"I was still at Arsenal when he joined in 2004 and although he was always a great talent, he was very left-footed. Arsene Wenger has said he is the most left-footed player he has ever worked with so it is quite an achievement that he has scored 11 goals with his right in 2011 - the same as in his other seven years at the club combined.
"Every time I’ve seen him lately, I’ve noticed that his right foot has improved and I’m delighted for him because I and other people at the club had encouraged him to use it more. It has become an extra weapon for him - as Norwich found to their cost when his delightful chip gave Arsenal their fifth successive Barclays Premier League victory."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal winger Theo Walcott is enjoying playing with in-form skipper Robin van Persie.
Walcott has received plenty of criticism for his performances over the past two seasons but he has made seven Premier League assists in 2011 - all setting up goals for Van Persie.
Both players have had injury problems in recent seasons and Walcott is delighted that a clear run of fitness for the pair of them means they are finally able to play regularly together.
"For me, Robin is one of the best strikers in the world at the moment," said Walcott, who seems to have struck up a near telepathic relationship with Van Persie.
"We just love playing together. Over the past few years, he's had his injuries, I've had my injuries and we've never been able to sustain a run of games together.
"But now you can see some signs, especially this year, that we just know each other and where the other one is going to be on the pitch. It makes my job easier, everyone else's job easier and he's a great leader as well which is so important."

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger feels Per Mertesacker can progress just as Laurent Koscielny has since his arrival 18 months ago.
Team-mate Koscielny has impressed supporters and media alike this year with his performances this season, and, given time, Wenger says Mertesacker can emulate his French counterpart.
“He had not completely recovered [from the internationals],” Wenger told arsenal.com. “It is a different game in England, a very demanding game for the defender.
“In every second of the game you are really tested with full commitment, and it takes some time to adapt.
“We have seen that with [Laurent] Koscielny, who played at right-back and was exceptional.
“Last year he would not have delivered this kind of performance because you learn that from fighting in every game. That is why it is so difficult to buy defenders from abroad.”

Pass accuracy? ![affraid](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/affraid.gif)
They've become strong, but I think that's just temporary [I hope] - it's like all the players are in god-form right now.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Well, Spurs are the second most in-form team at the moment, behind City. We're third in the form table, and guess what the last game we lost was? Spurs away.
They've got all their key players in form at the moment, whereas we've only got the one (other are coming into form, slowly but surely). We have better depth, which might play in our favour in the long run.
I know we all love to have a laugh at Spurs' expense, but they're serious contenders for a top four spot.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Stoke v QPR would have made Cesc Fabregas vomit into his paella. The game featured just 309 successful passes, 53 fewer than any other Premier League match this season (362 in Sunderland vs Newcastle), and the fewest in a Premier League game since Stoke and Blackburn managed 290 in February 2010.
To give that stat some context, nine of the other 14 teams playing on Saturday made more successful passes than QPR and Stoke combined
sorry not Arsenal-related just for the Lulz
