Arsenal Lobby
I was trying to find the format of how the 4th placed team ( perhaps us) gets paired with another team for the qualification round in the CL
I think https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013%E2%80%9314_UEFA_Champions_League#Play-off_round explains it, but i am confused about the seeded and unseeded thing. Can we potentially face Schalke who are 4th in Bundesliga ?

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Howard Webb will hang himself when he hears Fergie is quiting.
At least if Baconchops does quit it will wipe off 10 points of Utd's total next season.
I still think he'll stay for another season to 'advise' Moyes/whoever.
He'll need to be brought up to speed on how to influence refs and the FA.
That kit^
We have white sleeves don't we?
In saying that these were my favourite kits:
Got a bad feeling about tonight.
Expect the game to be tied at 1-1 in stoppage time. Bale will have a bad stomach and double up on the floor. The ball will go near his ass and he'll do a massive fart. The ball will fly past Cech from 40 yards and give Spuds a 2-1 win.
This would not surprise me.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
On the Fergie retiring topic, I have been waiting for the moment so long when Fergie retires. I would just like to see how Man United does without him in charge.
I have this dream, that they'll decline, fall out of the top 4, miss Champs League footy for many years, and then all those Man United bandwagoners can shut their traps for good. Ohhhhhh that would be so sweet.
But then again, that most probably won't happen

I wanted us to win the fecking league before he retired.
This makes me rather sad, to be perfectly honest.

Just saw the thread dedicated to the Puma deal so I'm now changing this post to this:
Seven years ago yesterday, Henry netted a hat trick against Wigan as Arsenal bade farewell to Highbury. Beautiful.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Does anyone else have a feeling that a perfect storm might, just might, be brewing? If Arsenal secure 4th this season, I think we'll see a genuine campaign for the league next season. A lot of money now for Arsenal amidst FFP, a group of young players who are starting to enter their prime, and a lot of uncertainty & new beginnings for rival clubs in terms of managers. (Plus several other clubs have to modernize or build new stadiums some day soon, something we don't have to worry about anymore.) Things could look shockingly rosy in the near future ... maybe ... it's almost odd to consider it.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
If Chelsea gets Mourinho. They will win the league next season imo with City close 2nd. I think we will be among them IF and only IF we make the signings we should be making. Arsene is easily better than Mancini. We can get back to the top days few few good signings.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
On the face of it, it does seem like things are falling into place, somewhat. However, Arsenal have to take advantage of these new favourable conditions by actually building a squad capable of competing for the title again AND retain their key players, namely Koscielny. With the amount of money the club is set to receive through the new TV deal, new sponsorship deal and, supposedly, the upfront payment from the new kit deal, there's no excuse for Arsenal not to go out and do some decent spending this summer, even if they finish outside the top four.
Although there'll be some changes next season, I expect City and Chelsea will both end up spending big, Spurs may go and get a decent striker and United will still be strong despite not having Ferguson.
