Full of it is your romanticised intangible posts that are basically cope for Arsenal and shoehorning the lack of trophies in Arsenals laughable history since Wenger last won. The fucking irony

Arsenal did have a brilliant season and the star of it all is Arteta above all. Pep is leaving next summer as it is so Arsenal statistically are due for a trophy
Where is that cranky German geriatric Hans who took every chance to shit on Arteta when he could
That accounts to nothing in modern football imho. Next season Arsenal could get a long term injury to one of their key players, or a variety of different factors could throw a spanner in the works for them. This season they were largely lucky with regard to availability of main players and tbf you need that luck when you are up against City who will be basically flawless in the second half of the season. As EG said rightly its all about the timing and its been terrible for them. For every top team there will be a shelf life, 5-6 years perhaps max. You have to achieve maximum in that period before the next transition. And Arsenal have entered that territory with the team they have assembled. Its unfortunate any team that's taken years and careful planning at all levels to built comes up against a corrupt organization that's put together by bending and breaking rules.
I totally agree it does not apply to this situation but with City possibly being punished and LFC in the rebuilding period post Klopp its the only chance they have.
It wont be anywhere as impressive as other victories given the PL will be weak if City is punished but a well needed trophy given they have accomplished fuck all for 20 years.

ah i wasn't as active back then during the peak chat years... i think mainly for bad internet reasons and the lack of efficient mobile website. I was more on my phone than my PC/laptop during my high school years. Guess i also had other teenage interest such as chasing and obsessing over female tail.
fun fact: i always felt like a bit of an outsider from the "cool crowd" during those times on GL even if i was one of the goal.com lithium forum day-oners. I also felt people took me less serious because i was some shitbag teenager with shitty lingo from some unknown random African country lol
so i tactically started beefs with RedOranje, McAgger and Mole to gain more "attention" WWE style
proud to say though, i've practically carried GL since 2018 as the number 1 heel-babyface

I remember calling Lascia that in chat. How he has grown is incredible for his posts and knowledge where no where near as comprehensive as they are now whereas Ive become lazy to the expense of my actual content itself. Im glad he's posting again.
Surprised no one has mentioned LFC's new appointment as I cannot be more underwhelmed for I never rated Slot's Feyenoord nor do I his somewhat more pragmatic ideals nor do I want another fucking dutch bald fraud in the Premier League.

No doubt RedO is excited about this

Apparently, he had a very good season for Bologna, despite not being much of a goalscorer like you point out. I assume the plan is to improve that specific part of his game. If they do that, they'll have a tall, strong, technically proficient goalscorer who won't cost the club a lot.
Seems like a risk, but Man United have to pay a premium for every player that's even slightly well known these days, and considering how many high-profile, flop signings they've had, purchases like these might actually be a lower risk alternative

We will be fine. As long as there is Scotty McTominay to score clutch goals and help us to get to 0 gd and a respectable league finish come season end.

Rashford needs to be benched and used as a rotation player next season for sure, will be mad if I see him starting games. He offers ZILCH.

I am afraid this might be the tipping point for him. Nothing seems to be working out for him. We have to be careful. He's probably going to get alot of hate after that miss even more than Evans. Dortmund seems to be about his level where he wouldn't face such huge scrutiny as he does at Utd

Re: Premier League 2024/25
I didn’t watch Dortmund regularly last season, but based on the matches I did watch, Sancho’s good performances were very scattered throughout the season. He showed glimpses of his old self during the first one or two matches of the season, and then he was largely anonymous during a poor league season for Dortmund.
He again flattered to deceive in one or two matches in the Champions League. I don’t know how Dortmund fans feel about him at this point, but I don’t get the impression that he’s good enough for them anymore either. He flourished in a free role during his initial stay at Dortmund, but he’s no longer deployed in such a role, and I doubt he’ll ever have that privilege again for a top club in Europe.

So how is it Man U after the FA Cup again seems to have outplayed Man C? Peps only won 1 Charity Shield in the past 6 seasons or something though the commentator said

Seems to me like they just don't prioritize it very much. Oscar Bobb won man of the match, and although he's had a very good pre-season, he might not even play that much in the upcoming season. They might even sell him before the transfer window closes. In other words, he had something to prove, the rest of the team don't look like they do. Only Bernardo Silva looked like he genuinely wanted to win it.

Re: Premier League 2024/25
Really liking Slot's implementation at Liverpool in the preseason. His build up play is very similar to De Zerbi's.
Big difference baiting a press then going long by having Salah hold up the ball then play a 3rd man pass with Szoboszlai than whoever De Zerbi had doing it at Brighton.
