Re: Arsenal Lobby
A squad is full, and he's not a home-grown player so can't be in B squad, unfortunately.

Eisfeld and Martinez are both not registered for the CL because of what Jay said
I would hope Akpom gets at least 30 minutes tomorrow. I think he is better than Afobe

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Wenger - Protests are not affecting players
“Let’s not forget that when people have to say something, it’s important that they can do it and we are very open to that,” he said. “But as well, they do not always necessarily represent the majority.
“It’s not affecting the players,” he added. “I believe intelligence in life is to focus on what’s important, and what is important is the way we play football. The rest, you deal with it.
“This club is in fantastic shape. We have a good team, we have a strong structure of the Club that we have built over the years, we are in a strong financial situation and we are mentally strong.
“I can understand that not everybody is pleased about that, but that is a fact. That’s why we have to continue to behave like we do."

Bolton fans aren't happy with Afobe at all, don't think he'll make it at Arsenal.
Also agree about Akpom and other youngsters, no point playing Arshavin or Chamakh they're gone anyway. Give the youngsters a little taste of CL. Wish Eisfeld, Miquel and Gnabry were available.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Wenger evasive on questions on Lampard: "We are in the country of Socrates. He said: 'I know that I know nothing.'"
Re: Arsenal Lobby
Afobe went to the wrong club, ultimately. Coyle was good with young players, but Bolton had Davies, N'Gog and Sordell already and they're all proven and Bolton are under a lot of pressure to go back up the first time.
Afobe needs to go to a club when he can start every game, because he's almost at that "do or die" stage where he either proves he has what it takes to play for Arsenal or doesn't.
I do feel that Joel Campbell is the better talent and I hope we can get a work permit for him soon. The quicker we can get him integrated at Arsenal, the better, because he could be an explosive player for us and that's something we lack a bit.
I'm cautious on Akpom because he's physically stronger than most players his age, so naturally he would stand out. I would like to see if he has the right mentality and technical ability to back that up. Hope he gets a run out tomorrow, all the same.

Wenger Knows Best @wengerknowsbest
I feel we were little bit unlucky tonight. The first goal was a goal kick and the second goal was a shot on target.

'Arsenal are not only about winning' - chief commercial officer Tom Fox
Another donkey getting rich by talking shit.
"Arsenal Football Club is not only about winning," he told reporters.
"We have a large and engaged fan-base around the world who wants to feel as if they belong to the club, and want to feel proud to belong to the club.
"That’s my primary business. When they [the fans] see that we can attract – even though we haven't won a trophy in seven years – one of the top global brands in the world for the type of money and financial commitment they're making, that makes our fans feel proud.
"So our brand is defined by more than winning."

Wenger quote inside (via someone on twitter)
Arsene in FFT - "In this job, as soon as you relax you’re punished. It’s like having a vital exam every three days for your whole life.”

What an idiot. I bet he thought he was saying something really insightful, but he should realize people won't have that desire to feel like they're a part of the club if the team is producing awful performances week in and week out.
He comes off as if he's justifying the team's shortcomings which he most likely is. That's something else the supporters aren't willing to put up with.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
So he's essentially saying the fans are attracted by the financial success of the club and the club's ability to get deals with successful brands?
I'd rather have a broke, winning team.

Might have a download of that tomorrow, though, it always feels more "official" when you buy the mag. The front cover is too good not to buy too! (except for Gazidis).
