Cameras will always be focused on him and so will his players so to take away from another invisible performance this is how you take away the narrative.

All over instagram it will be winning mentality and what not but since his Juventus days these crying displays have been a regular.

We see right through his bullshit brother

If anything he is holding that Portugal side back. He is a white Lukaku as I came to call him

Who said he's a sociopath? Im a huge fan of CR certainly over Messi who I am entirely indifferent to but his narcissistic qualities are very well known along with teammates confirming his traits.

Is there no better proof than him hoarding every freekick in both club and NT despite him scoring 2 freekciks in 10 years?

He doesnt even celebrate when others score. I still remember these legendary clips from his time at RM where he pushes higuain out of the way so he can get a goal to his name.

I'm pretty sure he's rarely ever happy for his teammates and only cares about getting his name on the scoresheet. Messi is the polar opposite of that

Cristiano's emotions are the purest form of sincerity I've seen on a football field.

His tears are truly incredible and it takes enormous strength for such a masculine man to show so much vulnerability. You could see how much it means to him to fight for his nation and countrymen and he just really wanted to score a couple more goals for them. He was just hurt that he couldn't.

Such selflessness ffs Proud Stuff goats are made of.

What’s happened to this forum? It used to be before discussions about futbol. Now it seems, it’s all about politics, socialism, or player’s personalities!

And it’s in every thread. How about keeping all the political disagreements, discussions in the politics section (so those of us that aren’t interested in those discussionscan easily ignore them) and open a new section for player personalities, again so those of us not interested can avoid them. And keep the futbol threads for only futbol discussions.

Ive made how openly I am a fan of CR but I think a lot of us are just ready for him to retire. He's 39 and performs well in a bit part league but clearly is out of his depth on the bigger stage now and isn't warranting the attention he gets.

Thanks for all the memories Cristiano but hang the boots up or at least for Portugal.

Discussing Ronaldo's psycholgical dimension is more interesting because his football ability is negligible

Mentality, psychology is a big part of the sport too so idk why it cant be discussed in football sections.

I wouldn't build my team around this much less consistent, less explosive version of him, but I think he's very capable of high-level performances on occasion. He may not have the stamina and bravado that he used to have, which makes it more difficult for him to impose himself in matches, but I wouldn't go so far as to describe his football ability is negligible Euro 2024 - Page 17 1f605

There's a pretty good test for that. You basically have to ask yourself one simple question: are people and media talking about his performance or about his crying? His performances are abysmal and I've not seen anyone praise his input this Euro football-wise, and therefore the only way he can attract attention to himself is by acting like a baby in front of millions of viewers. He knows it too Laughing

We all know bill prefers to keep the 'futbol' topics especially if they are about Barca scandals, yes LOL

N some CR fans love for him is becoming worrying... XD sorry I have say Im to suspect they are actually are in love with him XD

Anyway, these few day breaks between each round with no football, actually thank CR for some entertainment tbh... I hope he doesnt retire... the more big names to keep an eye out for, even if just for laughs is more fun than otherwise >Very Happy

Well, I wouldn't call myself a hardcore superfan of his, but I do like to consider myself somewhere in the middle between the people who think he can do no wrong, and the ones who post Messi stats in the Cristiano Ronaldo thread hmm

Speaking of that thread, this wasn't that long ago

This fake crying theory would hold more weight if this behavior coincided with his recent decline in performance or if we hadn’t seen him cry over the past 22 years. Even his childhood teammates have recounted his propensity for emotional outbursts and crying fits during games.

This behavior is consistent with his character. He was doing this long before he became a subpar contributor and way before the global limelight was on him.

Honestly we are just being armchair psychologists here but the sample size of how his crying fits eliminates attention on bad performances is racking up. Im sure it was just emotion from being his last Euro etc as if he hasn't said the same for previous competitions but Im just as a CR fan, growing weary of seeing him in tears now. Ive seen it for 20 PLUS YEARS enough lmao Laughing

I always took CR7 as a huge countryman. over the 14 years I have only known him for shedding a tear or crying on an national level. I have never seen him cry on a club level though, but surely someone will correct me on it.

No discussion about Germany-Spain today?

Feels like the usual Bayern-Real game where Bayern always does well yet inevitably gets knocked out. On the other hand, Spain have Morata and a 16 year old upfront? hmm

I dont highly rate this Germany but more due to their players rather than their talented manager. Leading a line with Fullkrug Laughing

Im a bit iffy on our chances given the midfield is a bit iffy along with lapses in concentration but stylistically I see a good chance versus Deutschland and as long as the same mistakes over the groups dont happen I cannot see a bad result for the land.
