I think South Korea has to do something exceptional in the olympics or world cup for him to keep playing.

He should make the top if he stays healthy all season. The only problem with that would be he could leave us after that. Sad

Arsenal's Gervinho hoping ‘formidable’ Robin van Persie will stay at the Emirates for many years to come
“We always need our best players so a player like Robin, frankly, we need him to stay longer at the Club," he told the club's official website.

"It would give me pleasure if he stayed because I’ve just arrived and I would like him to stay so I can play with him a while longer.

“He’s formidable and the team needs him," Gervinho continued. "You always have to have leaders in the group and he’s one of the players who drags the team forward.

“He’s the captain and his role is to galvanise the group and he assumes the responsibility. He is good for us psychologically. He’s among the most experienced players on the pitch and when he enters the game he puts the opposition’s defence under pressure and that helps our game."

I don't think Arsenal game being televised anywhere like the last Carling cup so no stream. Sad

Arsenal Lobby Empty Re: Arsenal Lobby

Post by Sushi Master Wed Oct 26, 2011 1:08 am

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed Park Chu-Young after his second-half winner against Bolton Wanderers in the League Cup, and insists the South Korean is ready to challenge for a starting spot.

Fabrice Muamba gave Bolton the lead after the restart before Andrey Arshavin equalised and then turned provider for Arsenal’s second, teeing up Park for a superb curling finish to ensure the north London side’s progression to the quarter-finals.

Wenger has now suggested that after the South Korean’s goalscoring performance, it may not be long before the 26-year-old is given more first-team opportunities in the Premier League.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Wenger said: "For me, I’m very pleased with his performance.

"He showed intelligent link play and the quality of his goal was exceptional. His finishing is absolutely fantastic. For me he has shown tonight that he is a very good player.

"He’s ready to play for league games, compared to the player who played in the first league game, where he was a bit inhibited; tonight he played with freedom and showed what a good player he is."

Not many players could have scored the way Park did, I hope he gets more chances and what an intelligent player Park is.

Just think how good he would be a long side RVP, 2 smart players. cheers
