I just watched the movie which each and every critic raped mercilessly and guess what I actually enjoyed it also my most mates enjoyed it. Further it maybe one of the best movie of 2015 for me or most of us. Strange!

Nah its Indian (Hindi) movie. Just in case u managed to get it in English I would recommend it for sure.

It's rated pretty highly by users on imdb. Can't find it on rotten tomatoes. Maybe you should find one Indian reviewer/critic you agree with.

Says it's a comedy. Comedy is probably the most subjective genre in all of film tbh. I.e. I don't find Woody Allen's humour funny at all, I know what he means by it, it's just not my style. I'm more an Adam Kay, Paul Rudd, Will Ferrell kind of comedy fan. So I can't possibly recommend that. I usually with comedies find one or two reviewers I trust, if I have to pay to see a comedy.

Not sure of integrity and hidden agendas of critics nowadays imo.atleast in India tbh. GOATS like Ebert also had their favs like Spielberg but he was one of the most fair and intelligent critic ever imo.
BTW how can someone not like Woody Allen? Do u mean u didn't enjoy Manhattan?

American films are foreign to me hmm

I watch anything basically. Can't really know what's good until you've seen it. Watched some Indian film about cricket of something when I was little. It's not really something I hear about a lot.

RG have you seen The Raid movies? watch 1 & 2 if not, unreal fight choreography. Great action movies. Weren't the stars supposed to be in Star Wars? did that ever materialize @Freeza

Yeah looked it up, it's definitely that. Might watch again, remember loving it. Love the weird singing and dancing, it's in there right? Love musicals, unless it's something like Into The Woods, Chicago etc.

Nothing to be excited about. They weren't really in it. Just cameos. Disappointing they didn't fight. Those movies are amazing though.

When I get back on another movie run i'll watch them.

Think raid 2 is on netflix but 1 isn't for some reason.

The Raid 2 has the best stuns I've ever seen in my entire life. Not even close.

If prime Bruce Lee was alive now... What a film he could've made with Gareth Evans and those guys ffs, combined with today's tech and skill.

Raid 2 was a much better IMO RG. You don't need to watch them in order or anything either from what I recall, there isn't much of a connection besides the main character being the same.

I don't think I showed it enough love in my last post so I'll say it again.

Spotlight is *bleep* amazing. I recommend every single one of you to watch it. I gave it a 9/10 but honestly it's closer to 9.9/10. Just a flawless film. The pacing and the lack of needless exposition reminded me of Zodiac, just perfect.

If I had to rate my top 5 in order, this would be first.

Spotlight
Sicario
Ex Machina
Mad Max
The Martian.

Going to see the Revenant and The Hateful Eight in the next few days.

Does Slumdog Millionaire count as an "Indian film" eco smile

Although I watch a fair share of foreign films, I can't seem to recall anything Indian? However if they are anything like the soap operas then I will skip anyway.

The Raid is good. But The Raid 2 is unreal. May feel a lil bit long in the middle parts as it is 150 mins long iirc, but the action scenes are so fun you don't really mind
