Roland is supposed to be really old, rugged, worn out, tensed face. This isn't me nitpicking, but its relevant to the story (you'll know why in the books).

If they can't even cast Roland half way decent think how bad they could *bleep* up the rest...

Matthew and Idris are fine actors, but I don't see either in those roles. It could be that I'm so deep into the series that I will never be happy but whatever, just cast someone properly.

They're planning a franchise. Idris will be 45 when this is released.

Also they're actors for a reason, they can fit the role intended. The best talent out there, with a hugely and insanely talented writer/director team.

You're probably too close to the source. A lot of people don't want to see a good film based on the source of something they love. They want to see their own vision when reading it completely.

You can't go wrong with this casting tbh.

I'm sorry, I like Idris but I don't think he should be Roland. I'm fine with Matthew being The Man In Black but Idris as Roland, I'm not seeing this.

PS: I was surprised for a few minutes that Mole is such a huge DT fan

Screener quality isn't actually that bad. I watched Nightcrawler and Birdman in that quality last year.

Of course it's nowhere near the real deal, but it will have to do for us that don't make it to the cinema regularly. It's almost has good as HD quality, mind.

Birdman was just about under 2 hours btw, not 140 mins

Screeners are nowhere near close to HD. Don't know where you get those tbh. They're not even dvd quality. They're under 480p which is the smallest one here. About half of that.

FFS just looked at the Nightcrawler copy I still have on my laptop. Yeap, they're pretty bad.

But still relatively good. Next best thing after Cam and TS quality (: The audio actually isn't that poor, just the video and screen ratio
