The Movie House - Part 7
FFS even if the casting raised some concerns, i cannot wait to see the dynamic between Elba and Mcconhay, especially since there's going to be one awesome scene between them in the first book

Also, this tweet https://twitter.com/idriselba/status/704679302781083648 (nod at the book since Roland follows The Man in Black(Mcconahay) for the majority of the time)
Been reading around, is it feasible/possible to make a quality movie in under just 7 months? I have little to no idea about the inner workings of movie making but it kinda feels like it might be a but rushed imo
Filming on movies are usually 2-3 months. Blockbusters could be close to 4. Then postproduction can be anything from 4-12 months depending on how much CGI is required.
It is possible to make it in 7. Spectre was made in 8 or something I think.
They'll delay it if it's good though, so they can make more money.

The Dark Tower gets pushed a month down, releasing Feb 17 2017
They can take as much time as they need imo

I don't know what The DA Vinci code has on me, I have read the book multiple times and watched movie for fair amount of time still the fascination doesn't seem to fade away.

Agreed, still fascinates me how they made such a nonsensical movie

Nah. Don't care for those books. Only read sci-fi, fantasy and comic books.

Trying to figure out where to put The Room on my best movies of all time list.
IMO, The Room was incredible, and the acting from Tommy Wiseau and the kid was phenomenal. Beautiful story about strength in adversity and hope, and the importance of family. Certainly one of the most beautiful films of the year and I had to hold back several times to keep from crying, which hasn't really happened to me since Gran Torino or perhaps Her.

Re: The Movie House - Part 7
As I understand it 10 Cloverfield Lane is a sequel in only the most vague sense. I don't think its going to be much like Cloverfield. Which is not to say it will be a bad movie or anything, just be aware of that going in and adjust your expectations appropriately.

Just saw The Lobster with Collin Ferrell.
8.5/10. Brilliant movie. It's a very surreal movie. Excellent performances with subtle comedy throughout. Just has a very unconventional take on life and love set in a dystopian future.
