He probably will suck though, rarely plays good for Brazil.
32 year old Fabiano > Anyone England have up front not named Rooney
Fair enough.
Disagree on Fabiano though, Sturridge and Welbeck are both better.
Defoe is probably his equal at this stage of his career.
Sturridge aint playing and still, dont think so. Fabiano didnt leave La Liga because he wasnt good enough..unless he has declined in Brazil, I doubt it.

Tbf Fabiano might be old but he can still finish and with that supply line he's probably still useful.

Ramirez-paulinho double pivot is not exactly magical though..... and Is dinho actually up to this level now? In terms of his physical condition I mean. Is he just playing because it's a particularly prestigious friendly? Do England actually have to worry about him or not?

True, but historically Brazil have always been better when they actually had a sturdy defensive base.
Dunga and Mauro Silva werent exactly magic either.

Struggling to see the problem.
He told the Daily Mail: "England are a good team with very good players - but I don't look at them as one of our main rivals for the World Cup.
"They have the players to do well - but do I think they have the same quality as Spain and Argentina? No.
"I think maybe they rely on Wayne Rooney.
"At Brazil we have many players who can win the game. The same with Argentina if Messi is not having a great game they still have Aguero and Tevez with Spain if Iniesta is having a bad game they have Xavi and Villa.
"Once you look past Rooney you don't see an obvious player who can win them a game."

Re: Brazil vs England
Paulinho is a very good player and i get the feeling he will be hyped more than most after the game as he's pretty unknown to the english public.
Also isn't it more a 4-3-1-2 anyway? that's what the Brazilian posters on here was saying when the squad was announced.

Probably because they are too busy making excuses of why they lost
Anyway he was the best player on the pitch in that game so if you wanted to hype him based on that you could quite easily.

Far be it for me to disagree with them, but Brazilians always move to where the space takes them and they always refuse to be shackled to a rigid formation.
Maybe this will help

Not exactly the same but the same principles apply.
I expect we more likely to see something like this
Than a standard 4312.

Maybe Neymar's saying Rooney because there's no one at the level of Rooney?
Whereas Brazil have more highly rated players.

Re: Brazil vs England
Ronaldinho is starting? I haven't watched him live since he was a 3 minute sub for AC Milan.
Also, Fabiano is actually a good choice. I still think he was one of the few at the 2010WC who performed well.

I don't get the hype about the midfield.. Only changes are Dinho and Paulinho.. I'm sure Dinho isn't back to his world beating best so is it because of Paulinho? The other guys have been in the midfield for a while now

Inb4 Ronaldinho failing hard football-wise and only trying to entertain the audience with flicks and stepovers.

Re: Brazil vs England
Can't disagree with Neymar's comments honestly.
Rooney aside, do England have another game-winner in their team? Only other one I can think of is probably Joe Hart, if he's on his game.
Should be a good match though Brazil will likely win it. Nice to see Julio Cesar back in goal for him after his beast displays for QPR.

Re: Brazil vs England
Since his last game for England, Walcott's stepped it up a gear. Wilshere is in ridiculously good form at the moment and Sturridge has impressed in the last two or three games
And don't write off Gerrard, either.

I don't see the reason for so much optimism about Brazil, I don't even know what to expect of it tbf.
