I've just found out that Vini isn't just a better LW but better CF too than Mbappe.

Leganes were shambolic defensively, but this was an encouraging performance from us. I particularly liked Fede's freekick. Didn't see that one coming

An honor to see the journey of my Fede; from midfield prospect to Swiss army knife double champions league finals participant and winner to now starting games at right back and as starting captain, all while scoring goals.

Camavinga looking great as a right centre midfielder, which is what I've recommended for him for years. Now with Tchouameni having to play as CB because of the CB situation and with Valverde at RB, BS had to be cleared as if by force to clear the way for Cama to play from where he ideally should.

Still not comfortable with how indulged Mbappe is defensively, didn't much like seeing him occupy that left flank today since that requires the team to compensate for his lack of work ethic through non-optimal means when pressing and when in a defensive block and it doesn't help clear the question whether he can adapt to a central position successfully or not.

Don't like it, and the somewhat disappointing thing for him and for the club is that Vinicius is trouncing him at all positions.

Imo we need to be able to play 4231/4141 with Mbappe being functional centrally, both defensively and offensively.

As chaotic as Vini can be, it's clear that his elasticity, particular treatment and control of the ball, and work ethic is more conducive to success for him through the left, center, and right, than what Mbappe is showing he's currently capable of.

Camavinga is an infinitely better pivot than Tchouameni. I can't believe he isn't first choice.

I think we are on the right track. Much better work off the ball. The Osasuna wasn't a one off it seems.

But the real test is midweek against Liverpool

It'll be interesting to see this line up against Liverpool. Feel like we play so much better without Lucas,Tchouaméni and Mendy who bring us down.

Arda is an incredible player. The competition between him and Brahim will elevate them both.

I wouldn't mind Mbappe from the left if he could create but he hasn't got a creative bone in his body it's shoot on sight for him. As such hid best position is further away from the play where his selfishness does not show.

It’s steady improvement. Although Mbappe still has a lot to show, he has been better in last two games. Glad to see Guler finally getting a start. I actually like Guler Bellington pairing. Good also to see Endick, Dias and Ceballos gets some much needed minutes. i’m liking Asencio.

It's all about peaking at the right time. First half of the 14/15 season Real were braking records and went to camp nou and won 3-1 easily... we won 0 trophies that year and carlo got fired. By Jan and Feb will let you know who the real contenders are

This team with Mbappe has deep structural problems, and it won't fix itself with a bit a tinkering. i don't think there's gonna be a peak frankly.

We have 3 tough away games coming up where we will most likely lose points given our away form but for now the gap is not as big also Atleti are just point or two behind us.
