Brazil vs England - Page 9 Empty Re: Brazil vs England

Post by Tomwin Lannister Thu Feb 07, 2013 12:44 am

You might be right but I reckon his name will get him a starting spot at which ever club buy him . At least for a little while. Then it's make or break. The thing is no matter where he goes he'll have enough wondergoal youtube moments to convince idiots that he's world class. But I can see him being very unreliable and not much use in a scrappy match against a well drilled physical side.

Edit: For me there's 3 Brazilian attacking players I would take over Neymar if I was managing a sugar daddy club. Oscar, Pato and Hulk.

Yes different positions but I rate them all higher as far as attackers go.

Key word I agree with "make or break" and I see the "break" more likely.

Also i believe he is feeling that pressure. he may think he's star but i'm pretty sure he is apprehensive of going in Europe. Pressure surrounding him is big .
Lucas, Oscar have already moved and he's still there
Hope he succeed though, we haven't enough magicians in our sport right now

Walcott indirectly involved with both goals by gliding past Adriano like he's a training cone

The result wasn't so significant imo. Like i thought that midfield is nothing to hype about hardly any conviction or direction in their play.

Everytime i see him in some friendly game with a big team he is flopping.

Not convinced by the central defence without Thiago Silva. Its not knee jerking Ganso, the world Cup is next year and Brazil has hardly made progress, even after the youthful rejuvenation this team is miles behind that of Dunga's.

Brazil hasn't been good for the past 5 or so years, the fans only comeback is "5world cups ohmygodddd" which is getting old now, that being said good on for England but hardly an achievement if Mexico can do it as-well.

The knee jerk is about neymar being crap and and the rest of the things i listed (and most of the posts in this thread) not about us being bad.

This is scolari's first game, most of the lineup will change until the WC.Im not even worried,we won most wcs when we were considered shit.

Mate you should have seen in the last pages on what I had to respond to regarding Neymar and Brazil. I don't know if its ignorance or that people genuinely envy/dislike Neymar. Maybe you can tell me?

You do realize that Brazil were underdogs in a majority of the World Cup tournaments they won, right? I do agree that some fans have that superior mentality complex while we have not really played up to that standard for quite some time. I do believe that 2014 is our year :coffee: and the Neymar hate is quite hilarious - I am sure y'all would find a way to hate on him regardless of what decision he makes. While I want to see him in Europe (for personal reasons), I do not mind seeing him remain in Santos (even if I did expect him to have left already). He will get his chance to shine on the biggest stage at some point and I would like to think that he will prove the doubters wrong.

I also love when people ignore the fact that Neymar can do more than just dribble the ball like a boss.

Robinho 2.0

people want to take shots at him in every opportunity because of the overhyping which isnt even his fault.Reminds me of CR when he didnt play well in some games back when he was a youngster.

the funny part is that neymar did just fine yesterday, but he didnt score so lets shoot him Laughing

Cleverley and wilshere were fantastic, 2 midfielders who can actually use the ball in tight spaces. No surprise wilshere disappeared in the 2nd half when cleverley cam off.
Wtf Cahill? You're supposed to be guiding smalling, not having smalling to do all your work
Has naymar done anything outside of brazil? Looked it up there, 2 goals in competitive matches for brazil, average in he Olympics and average v any decent opposition.
RObinho the new pele, neymar to rival messi, hulk, pato etc. brazil have been producing the most overhyped players in world football for the past 8 odd years.
Naymar isn't great until proven otherwise, he can only be great when he's proven it.
Posters on here forget that fact

Good point. Envy maybe? Laughing

I saw some highlights as he seemed more conservative and selfless which is obviously a sign of Scolari's discipline and "team-first" attitude. I didn't see him tear up the defence but his creative side shone several times in the little highlights that I saw.

But still, if he doesn't prove himself in England vs the English than he is nothing. How could you not realize that?

In the first goal all I saw was that Walcott outran him.. when i hear rape I think of actually dribbling, let alone skill because he even messed up the shot, he got lucky Rooney got the rebound and scored otherwise that wouldn't even be a highlight, I didn't watch this game but from the comments you guys are over hyping the shit out of him and making it seem like he actually did something worth posting
