I think by now the whole Romeu vs Mikel argument should be rested and dusted, Mikel has been class since RDM reinstated him back into the starting squad, and he is miles better then Romeu.

IMO one of AVB biggest mistake was undervaluing Mikel, he is quality.

Nein, you make valid and fair comparisons when Romeu gets to play double pivot or what not could be this season might not be, after all as a manager you don't change a winning formula.

Slowkel can do his shizzle for now, but we all know who is the better footballer. I cba posting the stats either way incase people are like proveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it, cos its easy enough to find them yourself.

But seriously calling out an injured player is pretty darn lame, but haters gonna hate :dance:

I'm with Abramovich on this one.

Mikel is a crappy player. No doubt he has matured as a player, he is more composed on the ball and doesn't make stupid fouls as often as he did before.

He is good for one thing and one thing only. Slowing the game down. He never tracks back his player, has a good for nothing shot, as fast as my bike on neutral. Gilvorak overrates him and his videos show the rare long ball that is predictable and only well played if the Drogba is at the end.

The flair of Romeu of his quick passing, driven shots in long range, and so on. He still needs to be more aggressive and slide tackle more often but when both Mikel and Romeu hits their peak, the latter would own Mikel and Essien

what injury was it that romeu got, all i remember is him disapering for a few weeks and then AVB saying he was injured

personally i dont mind mikel that much, he gives a 6/10 every week although i do think in the ling term romeu wil be the better of the two IF he can learn to play in a double piviot as imo 4-2-3-1 is the way we're heading

He did put in some decent performances earlier in the season, but extremely exaggerated. He looked out of depth today.

IMO he was decent at best during those games, only praised because of him being physical and making hard tackles.

Atm he is not Chelsea quality, maybe in the future.

He was better than Mikel throughout all of those games, He did what Mikel could not, Play the ball quickly. As well as defend as well as him.

Its unfair to judge him by last nights game, in that case Terry would be one of the worst defenders of the PL. + He didn't have any games recently so you can't really expect him to come out and own them all just like that.. give him some time.

Absolutely shocking last night,it doesn't matter who was next to him.

Everything about his game was just lazy.Needs to improve ALOT that's for sure.
