Love to see it, Kloppo going out sad. Still a legend and you weren't expected to compete this season. Salah seems donezo too.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Its not that hard now. Is it. Drop Rashford and McTominay and put both full backs in their actual positions and we once again start resembling a football team. Although ideally Antony too should be out of the team, which may happen in the coming matches. So, if ten hag can actually crack a working 11 and if he can persist with it for the remainder of the season and then INEOS can help make actual improvements to certain needed positions like a midfield partner for Mainoo, 2 CBs, right winger etc., then there's still hope, albeit slender left for eth I guess.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
So this season the EPL has produced more goals ever already at this point in time of the season, averaging above 3 per game whereas it was always below 3 per game b4 I think. Prolly mainly as a result of all the insane pressing all teams are able to do nowadays in everyday pretty much n forcing much more mistakes n chances?
More goals is always more entertaining from a neutral fans POV... remember the old days often games would be bore 0-0s, 1-0s, park the bus, time wasting etc...

Re: Premier League 2023/24
That was a very Van Persie-esque header. Did expect a hattrick from Foden considering the quality of the opposition, and he only needs another goal now
I really like Brighton, but injuries and the loss of Caicedo and Mac Allister has been a significant setback for the club. Such is the life of football's non-elite. Looks like Mitoma won't return from injury until next season starts.

Liverpool looking like gonna get Arne Slot of Feyernood to replace Klopp then... seems exciting n brave decision, a smaller name instead of a big name, n Dutch Although Ten Hag showing he was so overrated? Anyway, brave n risky decision I feel... I imagine it will be very hard to replace Klopp for anyone, hope he wont do too badly...

Safe to say Liverpool have run out of steam
Ever since Salah came back from the AFCON they've have steadily got worse

as expected, Liverpool fans on here are nowhere to be found...
boys, don't be surprised if they never come back again since Liverpool are going straight back down to midtable mediocrity without Klopp

Also, Bruno been getting hate but he has created by far the most chances of any player in Europe. Elite.

Salah beefing with Klopp was the last straw for me in Salah given I have wanted him sold and capitalised on for years now.
Onto the next cycle.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
I read quite a lot of comments on the internet suggesting that Chelsea’s loss to Arsenal was because of Cole Palmer being absent.
They’re now down by two goals at Villa Park in the first half of the game with Palmer playing from the start, despite having had a lion’s share of possession.
They can still drag themselves back in the second half, but this is looking like a classic Pep loss with 90% possession and no actual substance offensively.

2-2 full time. Pretty weak performance by Villa, all things considered, but that was a relatively entertaining game!

Re: Premier League 2023/24
And there it is, Haaland for Grealish n seals it straight away
Peps love for Grealish is as bad as Xavis for fking Ferran LOL, I mean wtf, anyone can see hes been useless for ages now... why play him when hes only got Alvarez to pass it in front n he cant beat players.... puzzling... I guess even the best coaches have their strange love of the occasional shit player

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Haaland is also going through the worst spell of his career. He's had an awful 2024. The only way this year can get better for him is if he transfers to any other club, including mid-table ones. Or if Pep decides to shake up his system for whatever reason.
Grealish helps fill the quota for English players on the team, and if you go to any England-based comment section on the internet, you'll see that English fans love him about as much as they love Bellingham. Man City also don't have a ton of bench options for Pep's rotational system. So he does have a purpose on the team, although his level of consistency isn't great
And to be fair, no one seemed to notice how largely poor Mahrez, Stones, Gundogan and Rodri were during the first half of 2022, they only remember how good they were during the business end of that season - so if Grealish had saved his good form for this half of the season, I imagine that's what he would be remember for by the end of the season.
I've always been a big fan of Bernardo Silva's high defensive and offensive work rate, and his insane consistency which helps Man City so, so much without necessarily making him stand out. He's having a much less consistent season than usual right now, but I haven't seen that being pointed out anywhere, which just goes to show how much people care about consistency that doesn't relate to goalscoring lol

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Grealish is intensely overrated. Again one of that annoying breed of player a legion of fans will point out every micro movement or pass to highlight how he is some unseen force that contributes to the play.
Well fucking obviously if you are part of a mere 11 on the pitch you will end up contributing to a goal by some hockey pass of play but he is severely out of his depth compared to the world class stars who surround him.
Fun personality, brilliant technique but ultimately a mid-table star at best and supporting by the English flag needed in Man City whom are basically a foreign cavalry of stars.

Re: Premier League 2023/24
Doku looks like a foreign body to me in City.
But he has an ability, the ability to attack his defender with very little space to attack into, and this is very valuable to a team like City when a lot of teams end up defending their box with practically all players inside.

Doku was better against us in the 60 mins that he played than Grealish in the 2 games. Grealish is a Hazard without end product while Doku is a Dembele.
