Thx Warrior, goes to show todays game so much are demanded of every player... definitely gonna see how he continues to do. Being a former Barca player but then gets the better of Peps Barca with Inter means prolly hate him more than love him, but its good to see these recent former players doing well in management.

Inzaghi, Alonso and Motta are the main disciples of the new wave tactics.
Seems to be very effective.

Sacking Allegri would be like winning a scudetto right now
I do hope the Motta rumors are true
Not watched a single half decent JJ game in the last 4 years

Re: Serie A 2023/24
Why Sanchez 6.5 and Arnautovic 5.5?
Marko scored some important goals and assists, Sanchez was terrible until the last couple of games.
Others I mostly agree, would also rate De Vrij a bit higher since I thought he was very good when Acerbi was inavailable and had just one brainfart. Also Pavard was very solid, great signing, 7.5 at least for me.

Re: Serie A 2023/24
Man we are limping to the finish line. Next 2 matches are against Roma and Milan, then later against Atalanta in the coppa final and Bologna in Serie A for the CL spots.
In the current form we have it looks dire. I truly hope that Giuntoli has already hired Thiago and started working on replacing some of the squad. The team needs a shot of positivity.
A coppa Italia win (difficult) and CL qualification (easier) would make the season a sort of success, yet regardless of the results we need to change and breathe fresh air.

Como potentially getting promoted to Serie A, apparently they were there for a season in 02-03, don't remember that. Their stadium looks quite charming but woefully inadequate for a top flight team.

Always nice to have newcomers or teams who haven't been in Serie A for a long time. Their stadium is bigger than Venezia's who play on a practice field or so it seems.
We get Parma back i'd also like to see Palermo and Samp again soon

Re: Serie A 2023/24
Why are Milan always on the verge of sacking Pioli? That squad is nothing, constantly punching above, yet they are not satisfied.
Their main striker is Giroud. Anything they did recently, they owe to Pioli. Scudetto with that squad, ffs...

Re: Serie A 2023/24
Milan are sacking him because Pioli while liked and is a SOLID coach but he has a clear ceiling and that is evidenced by underwhelming results in Europe along with his inability to adapt to needed changes.
His overall record has been this where he does well but fades off and it is time for a change.
Congratulations to Inter for a much deserved Serie A win.

Serie A should be interesting with Como led by a very talented Fabregas.

He does have a clear ceilling, but this Milan squad has a lower ceiling and I don't think a coach should be sacked unless the team ceilling is higher, and it clearly isn't.

I'm with Vibe. Milan's squad has been overperforming with Pioli, he has done good job. Sacking him is just changing something for the sake of change.

Re: Serie A 2023/24
Guys there is nuance here.
Pioli's job has been commendable but his mistakes and lack of depth have also been notable and most notably exposed in Europe to where he is just too slow to adapt and does not use the squad to its full potential.
There is no doubt in the world he is a good coach and I loved his Serie A win but in the end he just isn't very innovative past a point.
His general record has been a breath of fresh air when he comes into a club, proves critics wrong but slowly recluses into a shell of safety tactically speaking and somehow loses the traits that make him what he is.
He has evolved in Milan and it's his best ever stint but we simply need a top coach and the squad does have the talent for it to come to be what it is.

Re: Serie A 2023/24
Thoughts on Lopetegui, @Arquitecto ?
He looks like the closest to jojn Milan, your next manager might be Basque, but MOST of Milan fans dislike so AC might turn on another candidate

He would be another Pioli even if marginally better.
I like him but he is just plain inconsistent and lacks belief in his own ideas and is too reactive despite being tactically sound.
Anything less than a top coach or at least a young prospective modern thinking talent will be a no from me.

Bit incredible Juve drops points at home lowly team, falling behind Bologna to 4th now n at risk of being caught by Atalanta now leading Roma 2-0 for the CL spot?

Never recovered from loss against Inter
The lack of talent in the squad was pointed out numerous times, yet for a while Allegri's tactics kept the boat afloat, those are not working anymore and 4th-5th place is about where we belong intrinsically.

15 points from the last 15 games is not keeping the boat afloat
He's been a washed up joke ever since he returned. It's just lazy analysis to pin everything on the squad when in 90% of the games, we play with no spirit or purpose. We were extremely lucky to fluke a bunch of last minute wins  playing just one game a week while all the others had European commitments.
The squad isn't great but it's not about the squad anymore. There has been rot in the club which will take years to fix. Allegri is the last of the stinking mess of a management that set this club back by atleast 3-4 years.
Hopefully the new people coming in have the ideas and the vision to take this club back to where it belongs.
