Mid-bottom table clubs still respected us back then, like they still respect Barcelona to some extent nowadays. We could play in 2nd gear and still get away with something. I don't expect us to win against the likes of Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Getafe, Villareal or even Betis these days. They put in the effort, and we create less chances as a result. Despite us being top of the league, Villareal and Barcelona have scored more goals than us, thus far this season, and that's not down to "the two sitters Jovic missed".

i said before he is what you classify as a convenient signing, and came here practically with 2 hands tied. that said, i don't believe zidane should start him just because. NO, let him work for it. if he wants to get more minutes show it in training and in the very few minutes you get. it will be appreciated more

he has his work cut out for him, u want to start, train hard and score goals. alternatively you can decide not to push yourself and wait your turn, and you won't get that cos flo may just find another new toy he likes.....the ball is in jovic's hands

Whether he scores as a sub or not, I'm glad Jovic is here. It may take him a few games... but in the event that Benzema gets injured or goes numpty, we at least have a reasonable chance in terms of a proper replacement. We've mitigated the risk in this scenario.

For 2 years, we had nobody. It was Benzema or nothing.

Exactly.
And that is alright, no harm done, he's a promising young striker but not an standout, elite, superstar talent (that's not saying he cannot become a elite player if things go his way).
As you say, let him work for it -but then fans can't start hating and start a negative hype spiral if he's not setting the place alight. That way young players don't survive.

The guy hasn't played 3 full matches but Benzema fans already on his ass.

I remember Benzema being benched by Higuain under Pellegrini and Mou first year. If we can give Benzema 2 years to come good then we can give him more than 3 matches.

The absence of Luka Jovic from Serbia's matches against Paraguay and Lithuania in October was not, as had been stated, for his lack of playing time at Real Madrid. Instead it was apparently an act of punishment from the new coach, Ljubisa Tumbakovic.

Jovic in the bad books

Jovic had been called up for national duty in September. In the first game against Portugal, the coach left him on the bench, bringing him on with only three minutes remaining. For the following game, against Luxembourg, the striker cited an injury and was let go from the squad, but then four days later he played for Real Madrid against Levante (even if it was only the final seven minutes). It is suggested Tumbakovic took note, considered it a snub, and left him out of his current group.
