Real Madrid have increased their offer for midfielder Luka Modric to £30m, but Tottenham are holding out for a fee of £40m for the 26-year-old. Daily Mirror
why is Mourinho so obsessed with him? I dont think Luka will start at Madrid and to pay close to 40m to sit on bench is just crazy.

I just see how he is worth that much, Luka is a good player but he is inconsistent and is not type of player that dominates the game.
20m max for a player that could sit on the bench for most of the season.

Cesc was the best AM in EPL. Modric isn't even the best CM in EPL, so no.

He is good, but Cesc was clearly the best AM in EPL. Modric needs to dominate a hell of alot more midfields to be regarded as the best in EPL.

35 million max, although I have to agree with Free_Cat's point that if Cesc went for that much, Modric is worth the same.
But really, anything more than 35 million is...a very good deal for Tottenham.

well its pretty obvous torres and carroll arent worth that. Lets see if liverpool manage to sell carroll for what they bought him for

Yea, becuase you have that money and own a club. Somethings worth is determined by how much people are determined to pay for it. Players included. SO yes that is what they are worth. Good or bad choice is another story
