Looks like Joy got a lot of love so the HFPA could get Jennifer Lawrence to attend.

No Ex MachinaMad Max tho
Probably more of a comedy than the other two non comedies in that category. They should really just make it 10 movies overall in best picture. This is getting ridiculous.

Like I said on twitter M99 they had to put in a strong film to make that category appealing ![Laughing](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_lol.gif)

It's probably like Michael Lewis' other books made into film. Most like Moneyball I'd guess.
2013 was a great year for comedy/musical though. Wolf of Wall Street, Her and Inside Llewyn Davis. I really think Her was a romantic comedy. Comedy is just a really broad term. Inside Llewyn Davis was both.

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
does it rely on effects to convey the emptiness of space and stuff? (I imagine not seeing as it's set on a barren wasteland) 'cause if so, I'll just wait for a blu ray version or something

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
Meh there's definitely some beautiful shots of Mars and space, but it's an exposition-based story, so there should be no trouble following the story.

I'd say say it's best to wait for The Martian in 1080p.

Watching 240p torrent on a 4k tv only makes quality worse

In the Heart of the Sea with very mediocre reviews from both critics and audiences. Why did they delay it to December lmao, Did they really think they got an Oscar contender.

Reactions are fair game for me.
I don't anyone has ever spoiled anything in the Movie Thread before.
Anyways, I saw Fruitvale Station. 8/10. Really good movie. MBJ killed it.

Saw The Life of David Gale with Kevin Spacey. Decent movie. though very predictable twist. 7/10.
Also saw Perfect Sense with Ewan McGregor and Eva Green. Movie about humanity losing their 5 senses one by one. Quite interesting. 7.5/10
