Definitely a contender for being one of the best. Perhaps even the best since 1994.
So many great movies came that I enjoyed. Just when I nearly lost faith on the movie industry to focus on watching more TV series instead, they pull me back in.
Hopefully 2016 will be just as good, if not better.

Do so at your peril. I switched it off after about 50 minutes, couldn't bear it any longer. Was.So.Boring.
Not worth it imo, but your choice.

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
I think this have been the worst year this decade, by far. Star Wars, Ex Machina, Inside Out and Mad Max saved it.
2013 is still the best year I've experienced probably. Amazing year.

Inside Llewyn Davis

Wolf of Wall Street
12 years a slave
Fruitvale Station/Rush
Incredibly top heavy though. But no movie has really impressed me this much this year. Still need to watch a lot though. Will update come Oscars, since we don't get movies until then in Denmark, and I'd rather see them in Cinema.
Still need: Steve Jobs, The Revenant, Hateful 8, The Big Short, Room, Spotlight.

Don't forget the incredible The Prisoners (my fav movie of that year).

Yep. LOL. That year instantly came to mind when thinking of the worst this decade.
2012 is second imo. Other than Django Unchained, I can't think of another noteworthy movie.

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
Agreed on 2011 being shit. Drive was my favorite of the year but other than that and X Men, Moneyball what a shit year ![Laughing](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_lol.gif)
Agreed o 2013 being the best so far. Prisoners, Rush, 12 Years, Inside Llewyn Davis, Mud, Dallas Buyers Club, Wolf of Wall Street,Iron Man 3, Fruitvale Station, Enemy, Her. Great year indeed.
2012 was average. Django was awesome. Silver Linings Playbook, Zero Dark Thirty, Artist was good. Summer was great though with TDKR and Avengers.
This year has been amazing so far for me. Can only go higher with Hateful 8, The Revenant, Spotlight, Big Short, Steve Jobs, Macbeth, Coral, Inside Out, Room, Brooklyn yet to be watched.
Creed, Star Wars, Mad Max, Beasts Of No Nation, Sicario, The Martian, Ex Machina were all great. Summer was awesome too.

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
Forgot about 2013. I would say 2015 has been similar to 2013 in quality for me.
I've really enjoyed a lot of movies this year and still have many more to see. Haven't seen Straight Outta Compton yet even. Not to mention Steve Jobs, Creed, Macbeth, Spotlight, Anomalisa etc
Has anyone seen Slow West btw? Thinking about checking that out soon. I have True Grit waiting to watch in blu ray since I've never seen it. Hateful Eight and Revenant got me going on westerns atm

Can't say that when many people consider 1999 one of the best years in the history of film.RED wrote:Perhaps even the best since 1994.
Tired of people shitting on 2011.
Drive
Warrior
A Separation
The Tree of Life
X-Men: First Class
Source Code
Rise of the Planet of the Apes
50/50
Shame
We Need to Talk About Kevin
Bridesmaids (best comedy since the first Hangover)
Super8
People just hate on the year because it didn't have many huge blockbuster films coming out.
______
The Big Short
3/5
Does get a little hard in the beginning to get along with the satire style, but overall an informative take on the 2008 financial meltdown and good performances.
