Obviously it was hyperbole but I watched a fair bit of PSG when they went on a Serie A raiding spree and it was indeed ridiculous how far Cavani was from goal, Cavani might be mentally weak and crap now but let's not pretend PSG didn't play a part in taking a free scoring #9 and making him in to this.

Last i checked Higgy still hasn't passed the 20 goal mark in Serie A. If you're using the CL/this game as a barometer then Higgy doesn't have the best track record either

Hate Higuain for single handedly letting down Argentina at the WC but IMO he is better than Cavani as a ST.

At the moment yes, but i'd argue that Cavani's last 2 seasons at Napoli was better than Higgy's best. It says something when you manage to beat Ibra's goal record with 29 goals

I prefer Higuain than Cavani . For me Pipita is a better player technically. . But I 'd not define Cavani the fraud of decade. We aren't talking about a Guivarc'h ... he scored his goals with PSG, also in important games ,it is not true he was nothing. simply not really adapted for the elite of football , requested if you want to win the CL, the real target of PSG, they don't care about Ligue One..

Besides Edin Dzeko has still scored just a goal, or who reminds Mario Gomez.. indeed it's tactical league (expecially defensively ) so it is less easy to score for CFs than other places

I think Cavani is a very strong striker but Higuain is better in so many levels.

Higuain is scoring decisive , 3 points earning goals and is leading Napoli in a very heated title race .

Cavani is padding his record against over matched opponents in a league that's already been decided .

Cavani is very poor technically... surprisingly poor. Until he shows decent technique to me, i can't write his poor finishing off to just bad form.

His effort and physicality get him a lot of opportunities and he invariable scores on some. He's a volume shooter imo. So given that Ibra is taking a lot of the opportunities too, Cavani's volume is low and he's being exposed.
