Is Cavani the biggest fraud of the decade?

How can people rate him with his terrible performances week in week out? I used to think it was because he never plays upfront but he has played more than enough and never performs when it matters.

Not even a top 20 striker in the world. Would rather have Benik Afobe.

Meh. I've noticed his crapness years ago when he was still in Serie zZZzZ and everyone was hyping him, yet whenever I saw him for Uruguay he kept sucking and people said it's because he plays on the wing. Yet another Serie zZzZzZ star flopping, nothing to see here.

He is terrible, but he isn't even the biggest fraud in his side.

That goes to the 50 million man at the back.

when you're missing numerous one on ones week in and week out you're not exactly making a case for being a potent center forward .

Look Cavani was a fantastic striker in Napoli, don't give me that Serie A crap as he scored against great teams in the CL and looked dominant.

He's lost his believe and confidence in himself at PSG but it doesn't take away from the fact he was a great striker at Napoli.

I don't expect most people to admit that though as you probably never watched him and believe this is just him but it really isn't.

Now continue to troll, i just wanted to refresh some memories of what he was and it wasn't by accident.

What you want him to do with a team like this?

Tongue-in-cheek mole. I'm one of the last people you should be talking to about not watching Cavani play with Napoli. I've seen him play many times and know what he's capable of.

Fact of the matter is, he's been crap for PSG. Lack of confidence definitely plays apart, but he has been a flop no question about it.

if you concert a CB to play upfront i don't think he'll do worse than current Cavani.

He was, basically Napoli was a team built perfectly for him , counterattack ( and he gives his best with this gamestyle) and him as CF.
The price was exagerrated though, personally I prefer Higuain costed 30 mln less than him...

Yeah, he just looks devoid of all believe in himself. His touch was never that great tbh but better than it is now and he got away with it because of his physicality gave him enough space to get a shot off.

He was great at Napoli, but has been a scrub at PSG

Partly down to PSG for taking an in-form and prime Cavani and playing him as a 2nd full back, but partly his fault for being so mentally fragile that he doesn't even have confidence in himself upfront any more


Confidence shouldn't matter so much for these players, but it does.

Exactly. That excuse only works for DMzema who has to play so deep to make up for Ronaldo's and Bale's lack of passing.

Obviously it was hyperbole but I watched a fair bit of PSG when they went on a Serie A raiding spree and it was indeed ridiculous how far Cavani was from goal, Cavani might be mentally weak and crap now but let's not pretend PSG didn't play a part in taking a free scoring #9 and making him in to this.
