His finishing is improving. I think being stuck on the wings interfered with his efficiency. His off the ball movement is the best of any #9 playing atm. Reminds me of David Villa struggling to adjust to the wing when he first joined Barcelona and he missed sitter after sitter.

Since the start of 16/17, Cavani has scored 68 goals in 67 games, including 12 in 12 in CL.

Cavani had a form dip and is now having a renaissance. He was not always consistently great.

Last 7 seasons and his lowest goal count is 25, that's pretty damn good. He misses a bunch of chances though.

I'd argue all of those players have undergone some sort of form dip in the same time span
