And the Falcao thing is pure fabrication made up by Marca, who know nothing about Spanish footy let alone French footy. Less than nothing to these Falcao stories.

Think of how unrealistic Benzema is, double that for Reus.Raptorgunner wrote:Why not Reus? I like Benzema but I would love to have Reus. 40m I am sure we can get either one.

Arsenal have rejected an approach for Lukas Podolski from an unnamed club.

Signing Flamoney would be a disgrace of the highest order... the prick that left us when we needed him most. F*ck him. Besides he's shit nowadays, ask any Milan fan... only plays well when he needs a new contract

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
If Flamini is the only midfield signing, that'd be more than worrying.
If Flamini comes along with at least one other significant midfield signing, and is instead kind of a back-up option because of injuries to Arteta, Diaby, even Ox, and potentially (always) Rosicky ... it's not a bad deal IMO.
Still, you have to wonder about this history of bringing in players Arsenal let go from earlier years. Campbell, Henry, Lehmann ...

I endorse the Flamoney signing as long as his contract is not too long and has pay per play in it.
Why not?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
It won't be a short-term contract, it's the main reason he didn't accept Milan's contract offer in the first place.
If he's signed he'll be Coquelin's replacement who was Arteta's understudy... Wenger won't be adding more players in midfield, because quite frankly we don't need more with Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey and Oxlade-Chamberlain already there.

Yes we do need an additional midfielder but only a quality one.urbaNRoots wrote:It won't be a short-term contract, it's the main reason he didn't accept Milan's contract offer in the first place.

But, a CM is not a priority.

Instead of signing Flamini we could you know... uhm sign AN ACTUAL DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER, not another box-to-box runner. We let Coquelin go because we have enough of these but we only have Arteta properly protecting the back 4.

Enough said. I have always been a fan of Flamini. Was gutted to see him go. I think there is still a LOT he can offer. Would not hurt buying him for free.

Arsenal fans slaughtering Flamini for leaving. Just remember, he was on £20k a month, when likes of Eboue & Denilson were on £50k per week!

A defensive midfielder who couldn't hold his position... no wonder we were even worse defensively back then with him and CexLex wrote:Flamini was originally a defensive mid, if i recall correctly

I'd rather have Eboue back than Flamini, £50k a month wage and all
