i feel sorry for u guys. u guys have been duped over and over again, i am amazed by the resilience of u guys.

board hasnt bought top players to contend for title, u guys make yearly profit, season ticket hiking every year... seriously fanbase should question it.

well, flamini signing doesn't bring good impression either, but i guess he is more suited to EPL football. he will give u guys much needed defensive strength, however flamini is nowhere near the player he was. 75k is a lot to pay for.

Vela is, unfortunately, the one that got away. However, it wasn't entirely our fault that he did. He didn't settle very well in England and found the Premier League a tough place to play. Spain and La Liga suited him a lot more and he excelled there. Inevitably, we decided to let him go since it suited both parties to do so - baring in mind that at the time we had van Persie who was in process of stepping into world class territory.

What he did last season and what he's doing now is simply adding consistency to his game. He's got a home now and is no longer being shipped about on loan every year for various reasons. He's playing with the confidence of a player who is now settled and valued.

It's a shame he couldn't showcase these talents in an Arsenal shirt, but that's just how it is. Time to move on.

There was a Telegraph article a little while ago that said something similar; that Dick Law is actually a well-respected negotiator who gets a lot of deals done to an advanced stage but ends up frustrating the other party because he has to check with Wenger before finalising any of them, and Wenger is often indecisive.

Vela isn't playing striker anymore he plays mostly on the RW. I think he would have been great for Arsenal there.

He is very creative but he needs a mobile striker infront of him not sure giroud fits that bill so yh it was probably for the best that he went to LaReal and stayed there

LaReal is far from a mid table team the last two year. They lost Illaramendi... but they signed Seferovic. They have excellent talent on that team.

How good are they? Don't let the 2-2 score fool you... they kicked Real Madrid arse up and down the pitch at the end of last year and should have won that game easily. They also went 4 months i think without losing a game in La Liga.

You put LaRea head-to-head against Arsenal today and, frankly, i'd probably pick LaReal.

What Montanier put together is very impressive and it's nice to see that they kept the system in place once he left.

I honestly don't care one way or another about Flamini coming back. I do not like the way he abruptly left us years ago, but we do need midfield depth and he does provide that along with cover on the right.

I still think we need to be patient about the major signings though. I do believe they're coming and things will kick off as soon as the Bale transfer goes through.
