Personally I think "good riddance" is harsh for a player who was a fine back-up CB, and many of whose worst performances were when he played out of position in a rocky makeshift defense. Even if he's not the level we want to see at Arsenal, he's not a crap player and he never exhibited a bad attitude. I wish him well, elsewhere.

We'd be so versatile. We'd actually have 2 quality players for every position. Instead of last season when we only had 1.5 players at each position. Almost every line up we could field would be quality.

I actually hope that isn't true. Any potential move for Rooney would likely take a long time with the amount of money involved and there's the possibility of another club coming in for Higuain during that time. Arsenal would be playing a very risky game where one of the likely outcomes is that they get neither player.

At this point, I wouldn't want us to take any chances.
