well there's like 8 spurs fans outside england, 7 of which support them purely because of dempsey so that's not really surprising...

Talent wise, it's up to one's own view of things but yes, for Real Madrid, Benzema is better.

This was Bale's breakout season, though. His popularity has skyrocketed.
I use FIFA as a benchmark for things like this, used to see all the little kiddies running around naming themselves NeYMaR. Now it's Bale.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Yeah, you don't need a breakout season when you're an English youngster at a top club..you automatically get crowned the second coming of Jesus lol

Inside forwards : Bale & Ronaldo
False 9 = Ozil
That team would get bullied. I'd favour West Ham against that.

devastating.
I can't even believe you guys really think this a possible formation. Thi isn't Fifa ffs .
Neither Bale or Cr7 plays this position and not only that you want to associate them ?? loll
this is the formation we have played in preseason but with khedira/casemiro in place of Illaramendi and kaka/benz in place of bale. we have done quite well actually. keeping posession very well and defending as a team. it has made players like Denis look good as a LB
also when asked about a possible competition between isco/Ozil carlo said one is playing left the other right further confirming this formation. bale cant create for shite so we will play him as a forward next to ronaldo

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
If i remember correctly he mostly used Motta and Matuidi in midfield.
Lets not forget Lucas Moura who's a proper hardworking winger and helps in defense. Now the only person in attack who can do/was doing that for Madrid is Di Maria and you're getting rid of him.
He can field an attacking lineup but at the same time he'll look at attackers who will give the balance and players who'll help in defense too.
Just for a comparison with his PSG setup,Isco will be his 'Pastore' but who's going to be the Lucas Moura ?
I dont know but i cant see Isco and Oezil both starting at the same time if Bale arrives.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Ozil. Not as winger, of course.
In a 4-3-1-2 with Isco in the midfield and Ozil as 10.
In a 4-4-2 with Isco at left side and Ozil at right, with low press.
With Madrid Carlo has better players to play a possession style to give time to the midcenters to put at front of the box. And of course, to play counter-attack with after score a goal with 2 forwards like Ronaldo and Bale or just continue to play a possession style.
In Spanish league, Madrid will have the ball a 65% of time in 36 of 38 matchs. In Champions depends of the other team, but how many teams in CL will force Madrid to play without the ball and Isco and Ozil need to defence a lot? Very few, 1 o 2.
(I'ḿ sorry for my english level, i need the first certificate )

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Lavezzi tracked back a lot too... only times he didn't was when he made a run all the way to goal. Otherwise, he was helping.
Both Lucas Moura and Lavezzi tracked back properly.
And Motta only played 16 games all competitions (15 starts). Veratti played 39 games (31 starts).
Motta was always injured. The Matuidi-Veratti duo was the one the played the most by a lot.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Bale was late to training by 5mins I heard. Another sure sign I think.
In a day and age where most professionals are at the training ground up to an hour early, to be late at all is a pretty big deal imo.

I'm jealous that we don't sign an Asian player and dip into that gold rig in the far east. Son from Leverkusen should be perfect.

no problem for Perez. he will keep inflating the market until very few teams can compete with him
