Not the type of music I usually listen to, but the musicianship on display in this video is incredible.

the lady DJ from another town spinned this joint last night at the clubbo, and it was such a pleasant surprise... used to love this song when it was released, completely forgot about it tho. Also felt fitting and synchronistic with the Russian news dominating headlines yesterday

(french page has the full list)
Somehow still stuck on #1 for many days, it's so good

Ahhh. Reminds me of a cute video I made of Valverde years ago as a sort of impressionistic allusion.
I'd say that young cub has grown a bit since then.
Maybe I should make a follow up video with a Momus cover of a Bowie song as I did last time.

Re: The Music Room
A small, latter day Bowie live masterpiece in which the once and future archpriest of Artpop conjures a supreme, rare rendition of his 1997 David Lynch film-headlining track, replacing the amateurish attempts at skittering electronic beats that the once sublime Brian Eno had clumsily plastered on the 1995 album cut with still somewhat dated 90's drum n bass loops and atmospherics that nonetheless approximate closer to what a tastefully idiosyncratic piece of electronic siren soundscaping should sound like. Ultimately right on par with any of the revolutionary pieces from late 90's Bjork, who was the torch bearer of a new aesthetic influenced by the Warp label IDM artists that most of modern popular music sounds like it's still catching up to.
By the 90s Bowie's alcoholics and smoking habits, as well as his middle age, had brought upon what I consider to be the most incredible version of his voice. Commanding, deep, and masculine, yet sensual, refined, delicate, and brilliantly in tune with his gorgeous and duplicitous androgynous spirits at heart.
The climax at the last minute, unstoppable.

Re: The Music Room
This is my song of the week. I think it's bloody brilliant. And it's the type of work that isn't particularly labored over too much, it just comes out, and in its disparate and sparse stream of consciousness mess there is precise, ethereal brilliance.
