He's Madrid's talisman now. Won them the CL a few months ago, fully expecting him to fill CR7's boots.

I feel silly, but I'm actually genuinely curious and a little bit excited to see what Bale can do in Ronaldo's permanent absence. He's arguably as good or nearly as good finisher as Ronaldo nowadays. We'll see how he'll be used by Lopetegui, though.

It's a shame we didn't get to see Bale be the main man right after his Tottenham move. He probably would've won a Ballon d'or. His last season with Spurs was one of the best individual seasons in the last decade ffs. He carried them to 4th on his back under that fraud AVB.

Kinda true, but he never should have joined Ronaldo Madrid to be the main man. Chose money over status.

If Bale stays fit, not only he will score shitload of goals and bag lots of assists, he will be a contender for Ballon D'or next year.

Whenever he's stayed fit for a prolonged period of time in the past, he's suddenly hit top form, and consequently gotten injured soon after. I'd be surprised if that doesn't happen again this season, but I'd love for him to prove me wrong.

Gareth bale has surprised me greatly. I expected him to fail, but instead he is shutting my ass up under lopetegui and flourishing.
His speed and finishing will be crucial for us this season as proven today.
I appreciate his assist to my man Benz. I trust Benz will return the favor next match.

He'll need to have his minutes managed by Lope. An injury to him would be a disaster for us. He should sit on the bench for some home games too

He is a bit like chicken and doesnt fight for the "main man" status. If he got some respect from his bully team mates he would have been best player of the new season already.

Age is certainly starting to affect them, and Ronaldo perhaps if he doesnt stay on his crazy level at Juve, but Messi still up there above the rest.... we are just a few games into the season anyway, so, lets wait and see...

bale's technique is pretty underrated. far from skillful but his fundamentals are world class.
