solidus was supposed to be the 'perfect clone' in oppose to solid and liquid Laughing

worst jobber out there.

Solid became what Big Boss was supposed to be. The reason big boss hated him so much was because Solid was The Boss 2.0. Everything The boss stood for, was exactly what Solid snake stood for. And big boss couldn't handle that.

even then. Big boss and Solid's last scene together is an all time great scene in video game history. Was crying at the end ffs

lol I genuinely don't remember having to rescue a prisoner in that mission, just recovering the honey bee

why didn't you fulton him out earlier? I did that way before fighting the skulls, I don't think he's very important

Disagree on Big Boss being jealous of Solid. Solid was basically an agent of the Patriots/Major Zero who stood in Big Boss's way and Big Boss had to eliminate him to fulfill his interpretation of the Boss's vision. Both Zero and Big Boss misinterpreted her vision. I also like that Big Boss is no one's clone, just a human who became the best solider of all time.

I didn't say Big Boss was jealous of Solid. He just hated the fact Solid reminded him so much of The Boss. Ever since snake eater he hated himself for killing The Boss and it completely changed his psychology as we saw in peace walker and now in TPP. IMO to him solid was a constant reminder of Bis Boss' personal failure.

Obviously it can be interpreted in many ways.

Agreed about the vision bit. And also agreed that big boss is the most complex character in MGS universe. I'll probably end up ranking him higher than Solid after this game lol but atm(pre TPP) what Solid achieved overall puts him 0.00000001% above big boss IMO.

Although Solid Snake is impressive in his own right by his own feets, id still have to say that Naked Snake is the best. Even at the end of MGS4, he humbled Snake pretty damn fast in CQC. Solid Snake may have defeated the older Big Boss in the Metal Gear (NES) games, but a younger Naked Snake--someone who took down The Boss, should be able to take on Solid Snake

nah I'm on mission 34

I randomly stumbled onto that boss fight around mission 9 or so, was going to a side ops and went through a shortcut and triggered that encounter

don't think it's much of a spoiler to say she's a buddy option since you know she's an important character then

I've maxxed her and got all her equipment, she takes over enemy outposts solo Laughing

yeah I can see why they're catching flack from feminists, almost every time you see her she's being sexualized Proud
