Im confused here..I thought the mgs: rising was suppose to be mgs 5. Is it just a spin off about Raiden then?

How old will Solid snake be lol ?

knowing kojima this project is either going to be the swan song of the ps3, or the opening world beater for the ps4.

kojima is a god, everytime he manages to create games that define a system in their own way. im def getting a ps3 now, whether mgs 5 is real and it does come out in the ps3, ill still get ps3. on top i bought last week the metal gear solid hd collection, and downloaded mgs1 on my pc, so now i plan to do a 48 all nighter weekend, and play metal gear 1, metal gear 2, metal gear solid 1, 2, and 3, and mgs peacewalker.( only games that i havent played of the mentioned are metal gear 1 and 2, and peacewalker, ive played all the solids.)

mgs 1 = best playstation game
mgs 2 and 3 = top 5 best ps2 games
mgs 4 = best ps3 game

i bow down kojima, i bow down, if this is true any ways... i wonder what kind if big storyline would be big enough to have a snake in it... and for it to be on big game system.. maybe its going to be the outer haven ad zanzibar land incidents..

fact all of the metal gear games have the best graphics, stories, and cutscenes, in each of their respectve systems, if playstation has a titular series, ( even though its not over hyped and uselss like halo) then its metal gear.

meh if people say that if they want to see a movie theyd go watch one instead of watching metal gear solid 2 hour cutscenes, metal gear games are better than movies, or games, they are in a class of their own...

i still remember in 2005 when i first got my psp, my parents told me i could get 1 game, it was 1 week after psp release so there werent so many people at toys r us at 8 pm april 28 2005, there were only a coupe of games left, and in the middle of the stack of games i see metal gear acid... boy did that purchase change my life....

If MGS is an exclusive Playstation franchise, why is Rising going to be available on PS3, 360 and PC?

Could MGS5 possibly get onto the Xbox and PC also?

Nah MGS5 won't be on Xbox because Xbox can't handle the game. MGS4 was over 70 GB worth of memory, Only BlueRay could actually contain it.

I might be wrong but i highly doubt MGS5 will be on Xbox

The Xbox 360 slim has 250gb of memory

so MGS would be possible on the Xbox

That was before we found out that we could put things on seperate discs

He means Disc memory, Blueray can hold alot more than standard dvd discs.

how do you measure that? 'potential use' vs actual use? It seems like a highly subjective criteria...

I just watched some MGS4 footage and while its good its not 70gb good lol........

GFX wise it doesnt impress me a great deal, i few games this year imo have better gfx......

Something else must be taking up that disc memory because the GFX are nowhere near some of this years games.

well mole, lets not make this an xbox vs ps3 thing and lets go back to the point.

the metal gear series is a great series, now like pointed out by biased milan fan, its not precisely an exclusive series to its entirety , but its had it deepest impact on the playstation platform, mgs 1 was only on ps1 and its arguably the consoles best game.

mgs 3 was never on xbox i believe, well until now in the hd collection.. and mgs 2 came out first for ps2, xbox version was just a port..

on top of that metal gear acid 1 and 2, and mgs portable ops are only on playstation, now when it comes to mgs 4... im assuming xbox was just too weak along with other factors

mgs does represent playstation in a way almost no other game series has. Just because its not overhyped it doesnt mean its not good...

each and every one of the solid titles possesed the best graphics that the pplaystation they were on could offer, coupled with the fact that they are some of its best selling games, and highest in quality etc, if it wasnt for shadow of collseaus and god of war, mgs 2 and 3 would be undisputed top 2 on ps2.

mole and everyone else who havent played it... play it...

some cutscenes are long, but if you learn to like the game, then u can see that these games are in a class of their own... they created it too... the stealth genre.. with metal gear 1 in 1989...

i do have to agree though that understanding how liquid,solid,naked,and solidus snake all come together, and what the la li lo le lo, is is kinda confusing

there are two main plots that come to mind

a game on THE BOSS, from mgs 3

or the outer heaven and zanzibar incidents about snake, but i feel hideo wants to move from snake a bit, and the cover of the magazine hints at that.
