Metal Gear Solid movie in the works

It's apparently been in the works since around 2006. Avi Arad, the man behind the Marvel's first Spiderman franchise, has been brought in as well to help produce the movie.

My friends were discussing casting preferences on facebook. Here's what we have so far:

Solid Snake - Eric Bana/Hugh Jackman
Liquid Snake - James Marsters (yeah, I know, but Liquid impersonated Miller in MGS1 anyway, remember?)
Ocelot - Sam Elliot, obviously. Lee Van Cleef if he were still alive.
Meryl - Chloe Moretz if they wait 5-10 years to make it; Emma Stone if they make it sooner
Otacon/Hal Emmerich - Fran Kranz (look him up if you don't know who he is)
Vulcan Raven - Vin Diesel, Nathan Jones or The Rock
Naomi Hunter - Amy Acker
Psycho Mantis - Brad Dourif, obviously
DARPA Chief - Dennis Haysbert or Danny Glover
Armstech Prez - Ian McNiece (Churchill on Doctor Who)
Mei Ling - Gong Li or Michelle Yeoh
Sniper Wolf - this one's tough ... gotta go with Rachel Weisz, probably

My guy's a huge Joss Whedon fan so some of the names above are from Whedon shows like Buffy and Angel lol

Who would you like to see get the big parts in this movie?

Hugh Jackman or Christian Bale for Snake

Nathan fillon for snake

Yeah it was confirmed in Metal Gear 25th Anniversary Event. Hugh Jackman as Solid Snake for sure.


God Of war movie is also on the works, Tom Hardy as Kratos will be awesome

Would like to see maybe Malin Akermann, Famke Janssen or possibly Franka Potente as Sniper Wolf.

Its gonna be shit, Im calling it.

I don't like when actors play more than one 'famous character' .. E.g. Hugh Jackman plays Wolverine, so I wouldn't put him as Snake if I were making the movie, just my opinion
