Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
First, I wasn't talking about Juve and didn't mention them at all. You made up something again :lol!: You read from one section and report to other, whether from Juve or RM or Farca, it doesn't matterSurag.Blueguy wrote:So is there a need to bring juve into this ? So typical of some of you here..
Cant believe you project yourselves as mature people and all you guys do is taking a dig at another club..I'm done in this thread..This is my last post..
Gomez is a great striker with a great goalscoring record..Wont go higher than this..
Second, you don't seriously think that Gomez is unstoppable? Ever heard of imaginative speech?
Saying X is as tall as a tree... it doesn't mean X is a tree :lol!:
Oh yeah...
I won't bother you anymore for today

I brought in Juventus because I wanted you to appreciate rare breeds like Gomez, he took five shots, and scored four and assisted one.
The best thing you could have done is...

Let's take the transfermarkt.de stats from last season, there you had at least the minutes per goal ratio, and that was:
Gomez: 86 minutes per goal
CRonaldo: 89 min/goal
Messi: 98 min/goal
Van Persie: 112 min/goal
Robben: 115 min/goal (wow, that actually surprised me)
Eto'o: 125 min/goal
Tevez: 159 min/goal
Villa: 169 min/goal
Dzeko: 184 min/goal
Rooney: 215 min/goal
(BTW, this season I'd be afraid of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Very afraid: 50 min/goal)
You missed Benzema at 118 min/goal. That includes France NT... he's actually closer to 110-112 min/goal with Madrid alone.

Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
My brother and I always liked him since Stuttgart
He would always tell me to buy him on Fifa, but since i had small teams i never had enough money XD
But yes he's a very good striker overall. Always liked him.

A teammates no homo admiration for Godmez
Bayern Munich's Nils Petersen surprised by Mario Gomez's work ethic
link
Bayern Munich striker Nils Petersen claims he was unaware of how good Mario Gomez was until he joined the Germany international at the Bavarian giants in the summer.
Petersen signed for Jupp Heynckes' side in May, after scoring an impressive 25 goals in 33 appearances for 2. Bundesliga club Energie Cottbus last term.
The 22-year-old, who scored his debut goal for the German giants in the 7-0 annihilation of Freiburg over the weekend, praised fellow forward Gomez who scored four goals in the game.
"Previously, I had only seen him [Mario Gomez] on the television. On TV, you always think, I could do that but on the very first day [of training], I saw how strong he is. He is a great striker," Petersen exclusively told Goal.com.
"He works hard and also helps out defensively which is great. It will be tough to get past him [and into the team]. But if he keeps it up, he has deserved it."
The young striker also spoke of grabbing his first goal for the club while stating he is looking to get as much playing time as he can for Bayern.
"I just want to use my minutes [on the pitch] like I did against Freiburg. Maybe next time I will get a few more minutes. It is difficult though as Mario [Gomez] will not always be substituted," he added.
"We will also have to see how Mario handles me given minutes on the pitch. After the four goals it was probably a lot easier for him. I just want to show the coach that I'm always good for a goal."
Petersen has been included in the Bayern Munich squad who travel to Villarreal for Wednesday's Champions League encounter.

Hah. Well, Petersen should learn a lot from him. They're similar guys and he will get his chances. Gomez can't play 50 games a season.

Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
Petersen should have scored at least 1 in his 3 clear chance against villarreal, but nevertheless good performance from the young lad...
Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
He's gonna be scoring a few more because Gomez is injured.
I think he'll do well, the ammount of chances we create are insane.

The general ackknowledged Godmez!
King 'Otto' Hitzfeld on Godmez:
Source"In principle, of course, it is difficult to compare the three as [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo are individualists who often do things alone and sometimes play off two or three players," Hitzfeld told TZ.
"However, Gomez is more the executioner but he is world-class. In his category, as top scorer, he need not be fearful of any comparison.
"He is obviously extremely important for Bayern and you could say that Gomez for Bayern is as important as Messi is for Barcelona.
"He not only scores goals, but works for the team, plays a very good pressing game and wins back the ball. He learned this from [Bayern Munich coach] Jupp Heynckes. He has developed incredibly well under him. And you can see how important it is for him that he gets total trust from the coach."

Yeah. Kicker is extremely stingy with that rank. Not even Neuer was put into world class this season.
