Gomez is an amazing poacher, but he can't create, Cavani does it all.

Both very clinical atm, I feel that Cavani has more to offer the team. But at Bayern Gomez does his job perfectly and does all he needs to do.
As individual players though I'd have to go with Cavani.

Cavani baby.....he can do it all. Gomez is a scorer, very one dimensional if u ask me, but it doesn't mean he's not a great player

In my opinion he has better movement upfront and he can also create Goalscoring chances..He is a complete forward..(Not saying Gomez cant)
Whereas Gomez is just a faster version of Toni who really has a powerful shot and positions himself precisely in front of goal..Basically a poacher..

The more goals, the merrier. For a striker the number of goals counts, not technical niceties, so I go for Mario Gómez.

Watch how much effort Gomez puts to do the linkup and then crashes the box. He's not flashy... but he's not at all one dimensional. In fact, he is very much a complete 9 this year.

You should add Falcao to the poll, those 3 guys are the most lethal natural 9 in football at the moment. If Higuain didnt hurt his back he would be among them.

Whats interesting is Bayern clash with Napoli and Gomez and Cavani will go head to head so this is a nice appetizer before the match takes place although i know its not the perfect way to pass a judgement..I am just saying..

Gomez off the ball skills and work rate are very underrated. He can also assist if he has to. He's improved that side of his game these past few seasons.
Cavani is a great player too, but I choose Gomez by a hair.

Cavani is so beastly but I think Gomez edges it for me, when hes on form he can score 4 goals in a game no prob his movement is amazing and hes been doing it for agess
but what I love about these players is that they are exceptionally fast or exceptional dribblers but you can nealry guarantee they will be 1 on 1 with the keeper at least 2wice a game
