Let's not forget what this sexy beast is capable of
Not only is he unaffected by the Sweden draw, this man's starting position is being seriously threatened by the exploits of a certain Mandzuciç. Gomez is going to return from injury with a point to prove: That Mario Gomez has the best instinct goal in the planet.
Like me, he isn't the most technically gifted footballer; Sometimes he shows flashes of brilliance. But there's one thing we had in common : We knew how to score goals. Gomez takes the least touches for goals in the world and his accuracy alone padded his stats into the Castrol #2 position.
I also know why he flopped those big chances towards the end of last season, he was being overplayed and went his first truly high pressure matches in the CL and Euros. The pressure made him overthink and stop using that deadly instinct like I did in the group stages of my first international tournament in Thailand and later amongst the International schools in The Philippines and missed a lot of easy chances. This is where Gomez stands at the moment.
Like me he faces stiff competition, and misses the beginning of the season. (Me because of IB diploma coursework) But that gave us time to process our mistakes and that's how you become a better player. I scored several winners, including two goals and one assist in both the finals of the two tourneys we won, one of them a proper home derby against our next door neighbours, The International School of Manila. (BSM 4:2 ISM, CIS 3:2 BSM)
Gomez is going to do the same. He doesn't just score tap-ins, and the tap- ins that he does score are due to his instinctual positioning. Watch out world, Mario Gomez has a point to prove.

I can't wait for the return of one of the best cf in the world, having Gomez/Mandzukic/Pizarro in one team is like cheating.

Thats y United have ROONEY RVP chicharito Welbeck
City have Tevez Aguero Dzeko Balotelli Guidetti & let Adebayor go
Pizarro rofl. All teams have atleast 2 TOP CF.

Still they are below us. Gomez still score more goals than all of those attackers and Pizarro has far more experience than any of them and Mandzukic in 11 matches so far for Bayern has already scored more goals than he scored for Wolfsburg throughout last season.
The world is afraid of Bayern Munich, because while City have Tevez Aguero Dzeko Balotelli Guidetti(lol, Petersen is better), they don't have a strong midfield, sometimes Aguero play as AM or on the wings, same as Tevez/Balotelli, so we might as well Add Muller, Ribery and Robben to our attacking players, if you want to go down there.
Look at United midfield and compare it with Bayern Munich, unbelievable, there is no competition, just say good night already. players like Rooney have to play in midfield position at times and Welbeck on the wings.
Look at Bayern, we already have the midfield cover with 2 of the best wingers, Kroos and Muller as AM/SS and of course Shaqiri. Can City/United top that, Pizarro, Mandzukic and Gomez are purely strikers, every other position is covered, that's why we are better than them and the rest of them lots.
For every Tevez we have Ribery, for Every Aguero we have Robben, Silva Kroos, Balotelli for Mandzukic, Muller Nasri, Dzeko Pizarro, Yaya Schweini, those are probably some of their players worth mentioning, but then we have other players to spear, Gomez, Shaqiri etc
They don't even come close, our CF are purely for CF, unlike them who have to fill Aguero as AM, Tevez/Balotelli on the wings at times. Mandzukic, Gomez and Pizarro are only there to compete for one position and to score goals, our team is much more healthier than theirs .
Also both City and United play 2 striker up front at times, unlike Bayern who play with one striker.
Why does this Bestintheworld guy aka Kingofeverythingclassy always have to come here and criticize Bayern, by indirectly trying to show inferior teams like PSG, City and United have better players than us.
Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
So, apparently Gomez is back.
Today, he netted 4 goals in a test match of Bayern v a 6th division side nobody has ever heard of.
This, in itself, isn't that impressive.
What is impressive, however, is this:
When Gomez took a penalty, he hit the ball so hard, the football exploded.
This is true, and it is awesome.
I still think that Gomez doesn't suit the NTs style of play, and don't really want him to start, but he is an awesome striker nonetheless, and if a system properly supplies him, he is the best pure striker in the world.
All that aside:
MOFO EXPLODED A FOOTBALL. BY KICKING IT.

Also, the exploded remnants of that football landed in the net, so it was also a legit goal, besides exploding a football.

Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
So Gomez was injured and Tomas did not get a single game at CF. Bayern fans probably can't complain, Muller has been great on the wing are far ahead of everyone else.
But hey...i think it was a mistake nonetheless.

Gomez returns!
(BTW, didn't Daniel Van Buyten let a football explode last year, too?)

Logmez the best "pure" striker in the world.
Oh, and exploding a football is nothing impressive, it happens every now and then, usually because the ball was old or had a defect.

Gomez Hattrick says all. Either Bayern are a Juggernaut or Bundesliga filled with Minnows.

Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez
I watched the first half, wasnt really impressed / "scared" and then switched to the Arsenal game.
How was Bayern in the 2nd half? The hatrick was also in the last 10 mins of the game I think.
Shaqiri was very good in the 1st half though. Any chance he will start ? Muller , Shwestiger** werent that great.
