Shaqiri looks to have nailed the CAM spot. And Ribery-Shaqiri-Robben look very fluid with Kroos behind them.

With both Contento & Alaba out Gus is doing the job of being mediocre at LB. So no real alternatives at CM/DM position bar Tymp. We really needed one of Martinez or Bender.

Other than that I think either of Pizarro or Mandzukic or Muller will play ST which is fine as the this will prove if any of them can give a 40+ Goals season.

If not then we might NEXT YEAR go for Rossi as he sinks with Villareal or Llorente as his contract runs out in 2013???(IS it??)

Hunter is like Mario Gomez Part 2 with a much better finishing ability. He can get 60+ goals for Bayern.

But IMO he is not the type of player Bayern should look at. Average passing range, slow, average build up & technical abilities.

Bearing in mind both Hunter & Llorente's contract gets over in 2013(Llorente rumoured) I would go for Llorente as he would fit our wing play & style of play amazingly.

Tired of seeing unskilled ST being fed by Super Awesome ST's.

This is good news in disguise, now we'll finally get to put other players into the test, therefore seeing what our bench and depth is up to.

I'm sure we'll probably start with Pizarro as he appears to be better than Mandzukic, you simply have to compare their performance last season to see how much Pizarro is better than Mandzukic.

I'm still very upset our board signed Mandzukic instead of nailing down a much better upgrade Dzeko, anyways it's never too late, 2 lost in a roll, Pizarro and Mandzukic flopping, simply mean we'll see Dzeko and Bender arrive.

Dzeko 20million Euro and Bender 25m euro.

All in all, I still expect us to beat most teams in Bundesliga with this formation.

-------Pizarro----------
Ribery--Shaqiri--Robben
------Kroos--Gustavo-----
Lahm-Bad--Dante-Boateng.

Starke, Weiser, V.Buyten, Tymo, Can, Muller, Peter, Pizarro.

Jupp will make a fool of himself if he starts Gustavo as right back, when we have Boateng, Badstuber, Weiser and even Dante. I'm beginning to lost some confidence in Jupp starting from the day he started Tymo as Right-back.

I mean if we already have player like Martinez and if Schweinsteiger wasn't injured then yes of course Gustavo can start as right-back, but at the moment we lack midfielder so Gustavo must start as DM, playing alongside Kroos with Tymo and Can as back-up.

Does that mean Dortmund will shine another year? Even without the help of Sahin and Kagawa.

Current Bayern injury schedule:

Bastian Schweinsteiger - sprained his foot due to a hole in the lawn, no time given
Mario Gómez - he will have surgery in a week, there is no time given yet for his recovery
Diego Contento - out for about a week (stress reaction in the foot)
Rafinha - two to three weeks (ruptured ligament)
David Alaba - out for four to six weeks (stress fracture in the foot)

Former Player: Mario Gómez - Page 6 Empty Why do fools fall in Love.?

Post by The Messiah Tue Sep 04, 2012 5:49 am

Gomez used to be my best player..I still have him as one of my best...
But i dunno...ever since i saw Mandzukic wear our Gold and Red...
I became a Bitch !! and wanted to date him too.

Now I wanna be with him instead...But I guess double dating could be allowed..but im getting more inclined with Mandzukic..after he sent the Killer Goal against Dortmund..I Loved him more. Mandzukic goes deep field..creates chances...runs the wings without taking permission from Ribbery or Robben..and still finds the way in the middle of the field

He's the Man Bayern needs...I keep telling friends we have the best strikers in the World..
the mould of Deadly Gomez an absolute killer...but I guess Mandzukic may do worse damage than Gomez..because the feed from bayerns wing is the highest in the Whole World...as a striker in Bayern..You have to score high numbers of goals because of Bayern Wings and middle...keep feeding and feeding you.

Mandzukic is Versatile He's very very flexible ...fast..very fast..deadly and skilled..
Gosh are you all sure this guy was playing in Wolfsburg..??? How come I didnt see him..( Check dumb head )...that is me..... He's now in Bayern,,where World class wingers will feed and feed you..you Must perform unless you don't have eyes or legs.

Note Gomez always has one of the highest number of misses in the league, in the UCL...yet he still has highest goal scores in th UCL and League..Because of constant foward play and feed......Lets see what Mandzukic will do and do not forgetting Pizarro..

His presence looks like its a goal already... I cant wait to see what the season holds as they all get playing chances....

Former Player: Mario Gómez - Page 6 Empty Re: Former Player: Mario Gómez

Post by The Messiah Tue Sep 04, 2012 5:49 am

I don't hate Gomez but I am beginning to feel what people are saying is the truth, you simply have to look at Mario Mandzukic Kroos to Muller, and how he linked up play, that was the difference between us and Dortmund last year.

If you cut of Gomez, you cut of 80percent of our Attack, but now if you cut of Mandzukic, then you open up space for Kroos, Muller Ribery or our defensive midfielder to try long range, because trying to cut of Mandzukic mean you have to be everywhere, defenders have to follow him everywhere and open up space, but with Gomez you simply have to stay inside the 18yard box, in other word, one way your are man marking Gomez, in another way you are also Doing Zonal marking for the 18yard box, but with Mandzukic, you can try to Man Mark but Zonal marking will be impossible.

But Gomez can still Improve and could probably play alongside Mandzukic, he's still a better player than Madzukic but it seems like one offer more to our advance play and the other makes us too static, predictable and un-dynamic.

it's comparable to Muller and Robben, Robben a better player but Muller suit us better, but nevertheless this is an advantage to us, the coach just have to learn how to us it to full effect.

I have faith in Gomez but I feel sorry for 2 people in our squad, one of them is Van Buyten and the other is Tymo, Martinez arrival is bringing hunger out of other DM's such as Kroos and Gustavo and Shaqiri arrival bringing the best out of Muller and then again isn't it lovely that are now finally using all our subs...? I can not wait until Contento, Rafinha and Alaba comes back, as for Contento why is he always injured whenever there is an opportunity for him to showcase his worth..?

Former Player: Mario Gómez - Page 6 Empty Let's not forget what this sexy beast is capable of

Former Player: Mario Gómez - Page 6 11

Not only is he unaffected by the Sweden draw, this man's starting position is being seriously threatened by the exploits of a certain Mandzuciç. Gomez is going to return from injury with a point to prove: That Mario Gomez has the best instinct goal in the planet.

Like me, he isn't the most technically gifted footballer; Sometimes he shows flashes of brilliance. But there's one thing we had in common : We knew how to score goals. Gomez takes the least touches for goals in the world and his accuracy alone padded his stats into the Castrol #2 position.

I also know why he flopped those big chances towards the end of last season, he was being overplayed and went his first truly high pressure matches in the CL and Euros. The pressure made him overthink and stop using that deadly instinct like I did in the group stages of my first international tournament in Thailand and later amongst the International schools in The Philippines and missed a lot of easy chances. This is where Gomez stands at the moment.

Like me he faces stiff competition, and misses the beginning of the season. (Me because of IB diploma coursework) But that gave us time to process our mistakes and that's how you become a better player. I scored several winners, including two goals and one assist in both the finals of the two tourneys we won, one of them a proper home derby against our next door neighbours, The International School of Manila. (BSM 4:2 ISM, CIS 3:2 BSM)

Gomez is going to do the same. He doesn't just score tap-ins, and the tap- ins that he does score are due to his instinctual positioning. Watch out world, Mario Gomez has a point to prove.
