Chelsea and All Blacks. Just like me.
Hehe yeah, great minds think alike lol
I support Sri Lanka as well btw.. but I might never see them in a world cup in my life time. We just got ass kicked by Japan.. lol
Re: The Rugby World Cup 2011 Thread
Well, it has started.
All blacks off to a winning start. Sonny Bill Williams is unreal!
Hate the time difference though. Now I know what some of ye have to go through to watch football.

Re: The Rugby World Cup 2011 Thread
I dont like Rugby to be honest..But i watched the last edition of the Rugby World Cup and i distinctly remember the France-New Zealand Quarter-Final encounter..
I think its one of the best sporting encounters i have ever seen..The entire 80 minutes i spent watching it was worthwhile..The atmosphere, the chants and ofcourse the battle on the pitch was absolutely entertaining..And i like CHABAL a lot..That guy is like Gattuso of Rugby..
Also my friend is a professional rugby player so i watch many rugby videos of
famous matches now and then..Dont think i would be watching the entire tourney but sure to catch up the knockout fixtures..
I dont have any favourite team as such, but i think will root for England this time round..

We will win it this time.
You have no idea about the dissapointment every Kiwi has had in the last few world cups.

Was thinking this very thought... Best teams player for player yet... It's sad really.
Having said that they look more dangerous now than they have since 1995... The main thing is that their players must not get cute and try to be too creative, because the bruiser teams like SA will capitalise on errors... If we are playing well.

I would rather see Smith in center than SBW then again I'm not an All Blacks fan.

Yeah that Kinda shocked me, I expected Smith with either Nonu or SBW. I never expected them to go with the Nonu - SBW pairing... Is Smith carrying a knock, or are they just keep him fresh because they didn't take tonga seriously?

They played Nonu and SBW together because Tonga are a physical side plus I think they wanted to give SBW a chance.

SBW is not first choice. Smith will play 13 against the better sides with Nonu at 12, (well I expect this to be the case).
Shame though, Smith is an excellent player but SBW is my favourite non-Irish player I'd say. His off-loads are out of this world. The more SBW the better imo.
In other news. Ireland name Conor Murray to start against USA. This is his first international start. Crazy the way he has forced his way into the side.

Canada defeated Tonga yesterday. They showed heart to comeback after losing their lead and Tonga was also considered favourites.

Re: The Rugby World Cup 2011 Thread
On another note, i have just seen the odds for this WC, and realised SA's odds are a massive 16\1, and considering we are the only Country to beat the All Blacks in New Zealand (actually 3 times in the last 3 years) in i dont know how many years, i am really considering taking my chances.
