Re: Gareth Bale
Assou Ekotto is like the shittest LB in the EPL defensively and Walcott was in his pocket. LOL

Marceloa is a LB, he can't keep a LW in his pocket.
Bale gave Ramos shed load of problems at WHL.....In that first half with Dawson's diogonal balls...only if Pavlyuchenko was a half decent striker and took advantage of Bale's delivery in that game

Re: Gareth Bale
Wow. An amazing read.
I have to say sometimes I feel disappointed with the quality of discussion here in GL but this thread is proof that discussion quality is at a much higher level than it was 2ish years ago.
Lex, RG, Moal, pretty much everyone except Earlyprototype and Sepi : vagi :
Wow
Epic bump
Moal saying he's a kick and run player only to change his opinion and state otherwise the past year
RG using stats to prove Walcott is better than Bale
Lex comparing RVP, Nasri, and Fabregas with Gallas, Modric, Defoe, and VDV
Bale ffs
I love Goal Legacy

He would walk into nearly all EPL sides.
Considering your comments, thats ironic.......
Give me 10 performances where he showed up apart from 2 inter games.......Because they dont exist and no he wouldnt walk into most epl sides.....
Matt Jarvis is better than Bale and he plays for Wolves ffs as is Hoilett and many others wingers.....
He is very one dimensional and he hardly ever performs.......
If you were offered me Jarvis or Bale for the same price i would take Jarvis every day of the f*cking week.
Kneejerking is getting beyond a joke considering he didnt even play well today for crying out loud....
Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:B-Mac MUFC wrote:Lex wrote:What's Bale got that Walcott doesn't
This should be delicious
strength, a bomb of a shot, excellent crossing, good at set pieces
When was the last time he scored a bomb , a free kick and how often does he prove this excellent crossing prowess?
Walcott has played much better than Bale over the last 6 months he creates goals, scores goals and overall a much more dangerous player.
and my personal favourite

Re: Gareth Bale
Players change you know they become better or worse... I can bump my Antonio Valencia thread or the "Pepe the best CB in the world" threads right now and many more threads but it's pointless really.
This thread is 2-3 years old, back then he was an inconsistent and overrated player who was hyped because of two performances against Inter, now he's considered a god, in 1 year he might be an overrated flat-track bully who hit fake form for 3-4 months - you never know how things develop.

Re: Gareth Bale
Why all the chastising of Mole?
In case you didn't notice he gave credit as to how Bale has recently improved. All his recent applause of Bale is affixed with how much he has improved from his previous status. Frankly I don't agree with Mole on how he has expanded his game, as I feel he has merely strengthened & amplified his strengths.
But the point stays, Mole gives him credit for his improvement as admittedly before this season he was rather laughable.

nobody is chastising anyone lol it is just funny to read some people's thoughts when he first rose to popularity after his CL performance vs. Inter

Re: Gareth Bale
Players improve you know? They don't have the same ability from age 3 to 103. Bale has come leaps and bounds from back then, when he was truly one-dimensional and overhyped because of the Inter game. He has improved and changed his game now and is one of the best in the world, full credit to him but jumping on posters right now is pathetic tbh.
