yea... after losing 8-2 any any one would make these buys... You guys are already forgiving the board and wenger? unbelievable

I am however great full for the buys... these last few days were really depressing to say the least. I had contemplated on not watching footabll at all Neutral

The only way we can forgive them is buy wining the EPL, and bring in more players.

At least they seem to be changing that stupid wage limit for top players. I also want them to negotiate contract extensions ASAP instead of leaving them last second as we did with Nasri and Clichy. So VP, Walcott and co. need to sign extensions this very season.

yea man RVP, Vermalaen, Walcott, Sagna, Song ....they deserve an increased wage. esp RVP... my god ...the past few days i WANTED him to move to a winning team...felt that he didn't deserve to be in such a shit predicament.

We really need a different formation, that 4-2-3-1/4-5-1 thing we have going on just isn't working

After the 8-2 hammering... Wenger should say "*bleep* you " to his pride and play with 2 defencive pivots man. I know its not the Arsenal way, but ild rather we win few ugly games, and lift a trophy at the end of the season.

Pretty good, actually. Assuming no freak injuries or suspensions up the ass.

The double pivot 4-3-3 looks good too for tough games.

As for Mertesackers annual salary, that is a lot. I'm sure his wages have been triple, or at least doubled

That would be my favorite signing!
He can play across the front and the middle he never gives up at will fight until the whistle. He does not complain or fall down and would be great for set plays.

song cant play 442, he is not fast and energetic enough to cover the ground. you need players like flamini and lass to play 442 effectively imo.

He can make up for that with good positioning. Song's positioning is actually pretty decent when he actually decides to stay back.

Latest developments on Mertesacker: Werder Bremen have confirmed that terms have been agreed between them and Arsenal. All that's left are personal terms. The German FA expect him to be back in Germany by tonight, so one expects that the deal will be concluded some time this evening.
