Wenger pulled some deadline deals yeah but the negotiations were there from the start but now he has to bid and agree terms and i dont see that happening as we are really stubborn negotiators.

Apparently personal terms are already agreed.

Some interesting rumours popping up tonight. Got to love Twitter.

First of all, lots of French journalists are saying that we've agreed personal terms with Eden Hazard but are still negotiating a price with Lille. They want €35,000,000. We've apparently bid quite close to that.

Here's the twist: Lille have just signed Park Chu Young. Possible Hazard replacement, perhaps?

Elsewhere, Kaka's representatives are supposedly in talks with us again. Reportedly we want him on loan and want Madrid to pay 25% of his wages.

Also, it's believed that we have bid €8,000,000 for Xherdan Shaqiri, but Basel want €11,000,000.

Chances are that none of these will come to anything, but it'd be a bloody good week if we somehow pulled off bringing Kaka and Hazard here.

The person saying we're in talks with Kaka is saying that we've done everything we can on the deal and just need Madrid to agree to paying 25% of his wages. Incidentially, Kaka earns £160,000 p/w so Madrid woudl, prosepctively, pay £40,000 of that while we pay the rest.

It's not a concrete source though, unfortunately. He could easily just be leading everyone on.

I'd be delighted if we can loan Kaka, but I am expecting nothing to come from this.

I don't think the Shaqiri deal is going to happen either. We've already got Chamberlain and Miyaichi in as our young wingers, on top of having Walcott and Gervinho who are hardly old. No point in adding another prospect here.

I remember once in a crazy interview, Wenger going on about how song has "all thats needed to become a good wing back". That is the only way i can see M'vila coming in. M'vila plays the box to box holding type (a lot like patty ), him next to Frimpong; who at this point looks like a pure destroyer- would make pretty solid defense. SO i can definitely see what Wenger is going for.

Honestly, we are just used to having fast full backs. There are plenty of leftbacks out there that were amazing at what they did without utelyzing their speed. Hell the best LB , Maldini was not that fast at all. And finally, our style play does not depend on speedy LB, RB.... we dont cross the ball in the net much.

Id you get frustrated with Arshavin....you want Kaka? The amount that he is going to cost will not evne justify him having like a 20+ goal season... which he wont. No way is he creative enough to marshall the Offence. His main asset was his ability to cut in from the side, but he cant even do that anymore.

His main asset was his acceleration and ability to burst past players, not cutting in from wide. He's obviously lost a lot of that ability since he's had quite a few injuries but he still undenaibly has great technical skill, vision and scoring ability.

For a loan, can we really go wrong? We get a class attacking midfielder with bags of experience in the club that can not only help us on the pitch but pass on advice and experience to our younger players. His need to rest often will see our younger guys get game time and by the end of the loan, they'll hopefully be ready to step-up. The name alone will give the whole club and everyone assiocaited with it a lift.

I see many more pros than cons.
