I think because one of them will still make to the final.

So one team in league justifies the tag GOAT?

That is your personal issue, why do people support these shit English clubs while Spanish teams winning always? You need to answer that.

Bill, the PL is the best league in the world. I really do not think this is up for meaningful debate.
However, being a team in the best league in the world does make you immune to losing a match, especially in the CL.

Doc, it is to me! The only thing EPL has over la liga is the television contract. They have gone from 5 top teams to just one in a matter of months despite spending multi millions in signings.

Lol, this coming from the guy that thinks ManU is a BIG team despite losing to lowly La Real in 2nd level EL!
If we end up being a league of one, that’s no different than what EPL is this year!
Just a few stats for you, in past 10 years, of the 40 Cl semi finalists teams, 15 of them were from La liga, while just 9 were from EPL.
By the way, can you name 3 players from La Real?

The only thing EPL has over other leagues is marketing. The quality is much worse than LaLiga

He just scored his 14th of the season. Fcking beast!
It's really hard for me watching him play for the Bald Fraud.

What's the PL goals in a season record again? Ronaldo (38)?
anyway, Wolves are an unserious team this season... two weeks of prep for this game and they concede in the first minute, and now a player of them gets a straight red for a dumb challenge

Ronaldo doesn't hold the record, his best is 31 goals. Record is Salah with 32 in a 38 games season or Shearer with 34 in a 42 games season
Haaland would break it easily this season but he'll get injured soon

Only half the games being postponed makes no sense. Too early in the season to start worrying about games in hand and the like. Postpone them all

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Haaland is generally moving and running a lot less for City than he did for Dortmund, and he hardly ever seems to play the full 90 minutes. I also imagine they won't rush him back prematurely if he does get injured, like Dortmund did multiple times with him. I wouldn't be surprised if he stays injury free this season.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Hey Thimmy, I really think Flo & Co., badly underestimated how good this guy is! They chose Mbappe over him based on position, cost and supposedly attitude. They were wrong on all three counts. There would have been the issue with Benz, but the way Carlo is handling rotations this year, I think it could have worked out.
There is absolutely no comparison between the two anymore. I think Vinicius will soon be better than Mbappe yet alone the character flaws that are evident.
I know there is the clause that Madrid might get him in another year and a half, but I’m highly suspect of that happening. Such a shame.
Media esp. in France are already talking about another Mbappe soap opera in 2023, but Flo is no fool. We’ve seen his true colors and his character flaws. So I discount this, but in Haaland’s case his value to City will be so high, that I doubt he goes anywhere.

Hey, Bill. I suspect they prioritized Mbappe due to him being easier to commercialize. He's french, a world cup winner, has a bit of that classic, R9 style in the way he plays, and was already much more established than Haaland as far as being widely recognized in the media. That's a perk of playing for a top team/national team. We might still get Haaland in the future, but I imagine it will cost a premium if that happens.

If he has a reasonable release clause (<€200m), then Madrid might be able to get him in the future. If he doesn't, then good luck convincing City (who don't need money at all) to sell the deadliest number 9 in Europe.

Who even debates that and why is this thing? Haaland is world class while Nunez is potentially a good player.

That’s not right! He had said he wanted Spain specifically Real Madrid until Flo asked him if he could wait 2 years (Benz’s timing) plus it was an indication that they had Mbappe as the priority (and then Mbappe suckered Flo by supposedly agreeing to deal - and Flo assuming his word was good)
It was only after that (in January / February timeframe), that City entered into the mix.
