Never was there a race (is this english?)
City was always gonna win comfortably, unless a major slip up happens then it's liverpool.

Chelsea to me is more of a Cup team. but still 4 points behind city is not that bad. without Lukaku and Kante in last few matches.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Kante is a generational midfielder and Chelsea made the right move to get him. Also, I don't think this season's title race is 1. Obviously City 2. If not Liverpool and then someone else. I think this is going to be another weird season because of covid and might go till the end. Chelsea, I am sure, will be there till the end.
For Liverpool, Salah-Fabinho-VanDjik-Hendo-Trent are key to be in the race as long as possible. Mane has been not firing somehow this season. Realistically for Liverpool's system to work almost everyone is important but lately Klopp has brilliantly managed his squad.
With that said, what a complete shit show because of covid outbreaks. I think, just a matter of time before we see 2 or 3 weeks of break due to covid.

2/3 of games cancelled
Turns out having a super packed wchedule of 8 games in 4 weeks was not such a great idea

If they're already cancelling matches while the omicron wave isn't even close to peaking, I don't know what's supposed to happen in January, then.

EPL not willing to suspend all matches goes to show how powerful money is? They dont wanna miss out on those ad money etc. during the Xmas Im sure
Also I wont it hope be too many games missed over too long, since the already packed fixtures schedule would be unimaginable for the rest of the season to catch up the games...

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Tottenham outplaying Pool in that first half, just lacked the finishing.
Perhaps lucky on the pen. Jota went down insanely easy and I think that's why he didn't get it. There was contact, certainly could have been given

Well spurs are definitely going to regret their shaky finishing. Could've been 3 or 4.

Liverpool's midfield are so poor. Keïta is so fucking overrated, how many good performances has this guy had in the last 3 years at Liverpool? Ndombele is far superior. Morton kid is also, well, a kid. Not ready for these kind of matches at all.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
How the hell did Liverpool get a goal like that with VAR.
Handball rules clearly state that ANY handball by the attacking player, regardless of position, is a foul. It was a clear handball by Salah in the build-up, and Liverpool scores.
Not interested in the Dele Alli penalty, very slight touch to go down under.
Just as I type, Allison gives Spurs a free goal with a massive mistake.

Allison used to never make mistakes after replacing Karius, I guess his aura is really gone, been making them quite often for a long time now...

To be fair, he made five world class saves this match.
It's only fair to make a mistake trying to proactively get the ball when it works most of the time.

Clear red.
But, to be fair, so was Harry Kane's challenge (which would have robbed all of us of this great match by producing a red in the first 20 minutes).
Which is why sin bins should replace the card system.
