I think McGregor could do well in the featherweight division......if the WWE had one. https://t.co/90XGpSICS9

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
Rumors that WWE wanted Rousey for a while, well more than rumours. Could see McGregor doing it instead as part of letting Brock fight. McGregor is a known fan of WWE as a kid.
could actually see something like him and Sheamus vs Enzo & Casciavit next Mania

Funniest thing about all this is Mcgregor is 100% right, none of them stand a chance with him in a real fight lol.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
Doesn't matter lol, he's a real fighter who has spent 15 years learning jiu jitsu, how to accurately throw punches that hurt people and to avoid getting hurt.
Most WWE guys can't even throw punches properly lol, the only guy I would have gave a chance was Kurt Angle because of his real life background but he's too old now.
The rest would look silly.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
Lesnar would smash him. Reason why weight classes exist in MMA. Plenty of far bigger wrestlers would catch him at some point and just brutalize him. Also doubt he has been training for 15 years properly, remember reaidng that McGregor was a a lad on the dole after school and then started training. A featherweight is highly unlikely to KO someone like Kane in a real fight.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
I'm talking guys there who haven't been in the UFC tbh, so Lesnar doesn't count lol.
McGregor said himself that he respects Brock. The rest of them wouldn't have a hope in hell, no disrespect to these guys I'm sure they can handle themselves but cage fighters are the cream of the crop lol.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
I'm not saying he wouldn't smash 90% of the WWE roster but highly unlikely he would abuse people like Rusev for example. Size difference is too much, most of these wrestlers are top athletes too. Just IMO. Depends on how they take punches too obviously, everyone reacts differently.
Speaking of which CM Punk fights next month finally..I am really interested in that. The lad they have him against isn't a can..looks like a decent prospect. Punk's been training for YEARS but I can still see him getting smashed..he's old as f and his body is run down, plus all those rumors that he always gets smashed in his training fights lol. Kinda hope he wins tbh. Just because he's become a meme on MMA websites at this point.
Wonder if there would be a place in WWE for him? obviously left on bad terms but it would be good for business.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
Surprised at you especially Firenze tbh, size doesn't really matter when you are not a trained fighter.
The likes of Kane, wouldn't get close to him lol. These UFC guys basically train to stop people taking them down or getting close to them.
The reason people say McGregor has no ground game is because he never has to use it, also most guys who don't fight don't know what it's like to take punches by professionals no matter how big they are.
Brock's first stint in the UFC is a massive example, he could hardly take a punch lol and you expect me to believe the likes of Kane is going to? Nah lol.

Another example is in their build up, Floyd legit broke Big Show's nose lol. Floyd who apparently doesn't have power lol, I understand these guys are huge but they simply can't take punches lol.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
have you ever heard of Bob Sapp
former NFL athlete that turned to MMA with little training and was knocking out the best fighters in the world for a while just because of his size (was like 400 lbs of muscle), I mean he also got humiliated too in fights but still. Size can be a huge factor in fights, which is why weight classes are a thing. It's an unfair advantage. Plenty of UFC fighters have crap takedown defense and ground game too (not saying Conor's is bad but he looked shite on the ground in one fight against Chad Mendes wrestling, was literally begging the ref to stand it up)
Brock didn't like being punched but he could take one (prior to his injury) watch the Shane Carwin fight for proof of that, was getting absolutely demolished but came back for the win after eating mad punches. Like I say, firmly believe McGregor would smash 90% of the roster but there are quite a few I'd bet money on to beat him in a real fight. Maybe. I'd have to see how they react to taking punches lol. People react to them differently. He could evade majority of fighters but he would still get caught eventually while having to close the range against someone that have 10 inches on him and 80 lbs
