Is it me or is Ambrose seems a bit heelish ?
Anyways, i'm intrigued after that great promo from Ziggler
Because it was a heel promo. In the context of the feud he was just trying to light a fire up Ziggler's ass, but he implied he doesn't care what the fans said and was acting very arrogant lol.

Bobby Roode's promo on NXT was HHH all over lol, living up to his Canadian HHH moniker tbh.
His theme song is glorious

Just watched that Y2J-Orton segment at Battleground. Honestly thats some of the best stuff i've seen in a long time. Brilliant segment.
But can you guys tell me that 'no enhancement needed' reference ? Dint get that reference.

Oh ok lol. Dint know this.
That was a boss promo from Orton tbh. Probably the best in his career. Jericho was amazing as usual. Both absolutely killed it in that segment.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
The build up to their match has been good so far tbh.
Orton "invaded" Raw because he's supposed to be Smackdown exclusive and RKO'd Lesnar and Lesnar returned the favour on Smackdown to F5 Orton.
As long as Lesnar doesn't completely squash him i'll be into it.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
Saw this on reddit. Meltzer's opinion on the Ambrose/Ziggs promo on SD:
Source: WOR
"Ambrose had world champion presence. When a world champion faces a face, he has to make the match work. He has to do this fine line, in which he doesn't want to be fake, and play too much as a heel. Especially, when the champion is a babyface because that would be ridiculous to their character. So, you have to play this subtle heel because the psychology is that you want to see a title change. When you have a babyface challenger if you don't want to see the title change, what is the point of the match? I thought he was so great at not being fake and the things he was saying to Ziggler made sense for his character. He shut down Ziggler when Ziggler tried to portray the both of them as victims of the system, and how he mocked Ziggler for complaining about his situation and glorifying the fact that Ziggler steals the show, but Ambrose wins the matches.
The way he came off, and the way he walked out at the end, was all subtle stuff. He got a few boos at the end, but he obviously wasn't booed out of the building, nor was that the goal. The goal was to get the fans behind Ziggler, and Ambrose did so, by being a little bit of an asshole. However, at the same time, he wasn't turning his back or being fake to his babyface character.
His delivery and presence were just so good. He felt like more of a champion than Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns ever did. I can't say more than John Cena ever did, but more than John Cena at that night, so I thought Ambrose was very good."

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
He's not wrong, in the slightest.
Really enjoyed the promos since he became champion, now if the matches can come with them then i can really see him coming a legit star.
I do think Rollins is better though and he'll prove it when he gets a title run when he's not booked like a coward 24/7.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
Source: PWInsider Elite
As noted, Paul Heyman agreed on a new WWE contract before returning to RAW this past Monday night with Brock Lesnar. While Heyman's contract expired there had been a general feeling that he would be back in time for SummerSlam but there were some higher-ups who believed Heyman wasn't coming back.
Heyman was reportedly pushing for a raise that was beyond what WWE was willing to pay him. According to PWInsider, Heyman tried to talk himself into a deal that would've been worth more than he's making now. WWE played hardball and said they would not go in that direction. The deal expired but the two sides never stopped talking.
There has also been unhappiness in the company about some of Heyman's outside projects, which didn't help the contract talks.
What ultimately changed Heyman's contract status was Brock Lesnar's return. Lesnar reportedly went to bat and said he wanted Heyman there with him, make it happen.
No word yet on if Heyman received the terms he wanted.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
Didn't even realise that lol.
Speaking of Brock though, i reckon he loses at Summerslam tbh.
Vince is a vindictive old bastard and i reckon he's going to use the failed drug test ( and the overall embarassment it brought to the company PR wise) and make him lose.

Making him lose to Randy Orton (who failed 2 drug tests) will achieve nothing.

I don't think they care tbh lol, not saying it's right or it should happen. But i think they are going to do it lol.
Also Orton being caught for smoking pot isn't comparable to Brock Lesnar to failing UFC drug tests due to taking PEDs.
The whole thing was a PR disaster for them, Vince is vindictive at the best of times so i wouldn't be surprised if they book Brock to lose.

It would be a huge push for Orton if he beat the guy who ended Undertakers streak.

Brock is WWE's biggest investment. They pay him 6M a year ffs.
Vince is vindictive, but there is no way Bork is losing at Summerslam, no way.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
I must say I've enjoyed how they have built Orton up for this match. Orton's "part time" schedule actually makes him like an equal to Lesnar. Kind of like he's also too good for the main roster and only comes back for the big occasions suited for his stature. They've also re-built the whole RKO outta nowhere as well as an equalizer to Lesnar.
He'll still lose, but he'll regain that credibility suited to put over some of the younger guys on the Smackdown roster *cough* Ambrose *cough*.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
Ryback left WWE. His first interview since his resignation:
Well you finally left. What’s next for Ryback or Ryan Reeves?
Work. I’m going to go to work. I’m going to break the door down on every one of these carney ran indy promotions. Ryback is dead. The Silverback Ryan Reeves is re-born.
So any chance of you fighting CM Punk in the UFC?
I have seen Punk fight and he is no good. Van Dam (Rob) punched him for stooging on him and so Punk ran to Vince and told him he was sucker punched. Got Rob in a lot of trouble. I train with real fighters in a real gym not some jacked up facility with camera crews filming your every move. I talk with confidence like a winner not like Punk. Punk has already lost that fight with Gall (Mickey). You can hear it in his voice, he is talking like he expects to lose. And you know what? He will, he will lose real bad. If anyone thinks this Punk UFC thing is going to go on longer than one fight I promise you Punk will get murdered and embarrassed.
I’m not interested in fighting MMA or whatever. I want to be in the ring eating weaker people until I’m full. But rest assured if me and Punk ever fought I would destroy him. And about his upcoming fight I’m not kidding you, unless that kid (Gall) has a heart attack Punk isn’t winning that fight.
Did Vince contact you?
No. Some HR person. It’s funny because Vince is real sensitive, he can’t take anyone not wanting to be around him or not liking him. That why he has his cronies wherever he goes. Same with Hogan. It was so funny at Wrestlemania thirty to see Vince walking backstage with his cronies and Hogan walking around backstage with his cronies. Two weak people.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 29
He was leaving months ago, these things take time to actually happen for some reason though.
While he talks sense a lot of the time and he actually seems like a nice guy I won't miss him.
Just never found him entertaining and never got invested in either his ring work or his character.
