Yeah Müller is kind of back in form. Still a few of his things don't work out that usually work out, but he's got three assists and should probably have about 7 if not for Lewa's usual bottling.

Guy scores a hattrick and you have a dig at him. Ungrateful imbecile. I can't wait until he comes home.

Wereder always manager to escape relegation like Hamburg did a few years running. Hope they go down this time. Disgraceful performance. THey made Alonso look like Prime Pirlo and Guardiola.

That club is in a real sorry state. Maybe over time with Bauman as DoF they can stop the rot.
Can see no way though how they can not fire their coach.
They should have got rid a year ago.
Which is funny because I'm sure I wrote the exact same sentence here about Werder and Dutt a couple seasons ago

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Dutt is a fraud. I remember when people where calling him the next big thing in German coaching
WHat's your opinion on RB Leipzig btw Hans?
Also how do they have so much money to spend if they follow FFP? They have 50 million Euros to spend. I know they are effectively bank rolled.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
I don't know. I don't think the issue is even spending. They have a lot of attendance, their squad concept is heavily reliant on young talent development.
The issue is that their organizational setup makes a mockery of the 50+1 rule.
As for the football side, meh. I think it's basically not a bad thing there's an East German Bundesliga club again.
It's got Rangnick's handwriting all over it, first as DoF and now also as coach, so the parallels to Hoffenheim are glaring.
Hoffenheim too stormed into Bundesliga under Rangnick with the fanfares of a new power, great innovative club management, modern and progressive football bla bla bla.
Now look at them. Bottom table club in a village.
Red Bull Leipzsch will make some waves and then find their place somewhere down there similar to Hoffenheim, after rangnick has left due to another burn out or another power struggle

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Compared to Hoffenheim, Leipzig have a bigger fanbase, though, as the people in the town and near surroundings were starved for Bundesliga football.
Hoffenheim population: 3263 (or let's say Sinsheim: 34 882)
Leipzig population: 560 472 (respectively Metropolregion Mitteldeutschland: approx 2.4 mio / okay, there will be fans of Carl-Zeiss Jena and Chemnitzer FC among them)

Bayern are gonna go Machtday 1-34 on top of the table after that 6-0 win
Pep was never able to do that. Carlo
I think Heyneckes did it also though.

They are arguably the worst team in the league...as opposed to City beating the all mighty Stoke 4-1 AWAY from home. A mid table team that is meant to be the toughest place to visit...

Jibs what are you talking about?
We are saying Bayern are going to be sitting in the number one spot from Matchday 1 through Matchday 34. It's fricking insane how easy it is for them in this league.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
If not for Gladbach's CL qualifier midweek, they should have set up Gladbach vs Bayern as first match. I bet that would have brought a better result. ^^

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
The match was nice to watch but it was impossible to feel something for one of the teams. It didn't look real, it was like the players played in a vacuum, like a mathematics formula with its specific variables and constants.
Metaphorically speaking, it was like a usual day at work. Bayern's players were the hard workers with the high salaries and Werder's were the ones who prefer to act like a victim, to sit at the mercy of others waiting for somebody else to take action an fight for them. This makes me as a neutral spectator to subconsciously choose to avoid Bayern's matches in the future because it doesn't provide me the adrenaline and the vibrating emotions which I expect from a football game.
Bayern played perfectly their part, could have been 7/8 - 0 . I will wait to see how they will play in the next 4 or 5 games and then it will be adequate to form a logical and objective opinion.
Also, Werder looked like they are going to fall to the 2nd division at the end of the season, but also, I'll have to wait a few matchdays and then I will be able to form a valid opinion about how good they are.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
A 2nd division team would've put more effort in their game than Werder Bremen did last night, their level looked more like 3rd or 4th division.
It's a shame that some of these teams don't even try after they concede the first goal.

We've won the last 12 league games against Bremen. The scorelines were 6-0, 5-0, 1-0, 4-0, 6-0, 5-2, 7-0, 6-1, 2-0, 2-1, 4-1, 3-1.
Nothing about yesterday's result is surprising or noteworthy

I completely forgot Rangnick gave the interim post as coach up again. He's 'only' DoF again now, with former Ingolstadt Hasenhüttl having taken over coaching duties for this season.
Under Hasenhüttl, Ingolstadt actually were the arguably one of the nastiest (not in a dirty sense), most intense and toughest teams of Bundesliga.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
According to kicker, Dortmund plays:
Bürki - Passlack, Sokratis, Bartra, Schmelzer - Castro, Rode - Dembelé, Kagawa, Schürrle - Aubameyang
Bench: Weidenfeller (GK), Guerreiro, Piszczek, Mor, Pulisic, Weigl, Ramos
So it seems that Thomas Tuchel currently prefers Sebastian Rode and Gonzalo Castro, no idea why exactly as Julian Weigl isn't injured. But then, he missed most of pre-season due to the Euro.

What the heck is up with Schalke? o_O
Their defense is all over the place and they could have been 3:0 or 4:0 down by now, if Frankfurt would hit the goal properly...
And Auba starts his run for the Torjägerkanone, too!

Frankfurt, my lovelies! Yes, yes. Give those sweet, delicious through balls, feed them all to Meier, for the Alex hungers!
Loving the start of this match day. Well loving that part. Sadly, Darmstadt are trailing.
But whoooo, Alex Meier Fußballgott!

BTW assist Shirley for Aubameyang, told you guys Schürrle was a good transfer. Bit expensive, maybe, but Tuchel knows how to work the kid.
