1999 gave us that Phantom Menace though
It also gave us Midichlorians (:

What about The IrishmanFfs, Marty... Get your shit together before Pacino becomes mute.
What about that movie that was announced a while back starring LDC in the role of Billy Milligan? The crowded room or something.

Will probably happen in a handful of years. I really just want one more De Niro/Scorsese film before they pass away or retire. DiCaprio has so many years left.

I didn't like Slow West that much. Not a Western guy at all. Tombstone is probably the only one I love, and I don't really consider Django: Unchained that much of a Western.
Fassbender was great in it, so was Nightcrawler dude.

I haven't seen Room yet, but I'm really happy Brie Larson won the Best Actress award. Really like her as an actress.
Also J-Law winning again![](/users/3313/22/97/24/smiles/1625187496.gif)

The Revenant wins Best Picture. ![](/users/3313/22/97/24/smiles/1499845164.gif)
GG isn't the best Oscar predictors but Leo, Inarritu, and Chivo should all hopefully win their categories. As far as Best Picture honestly I don't care if The Revenant wins or not, but it's certainly is a favorite. Spotlight is the biggest favorite though, I feel, and deservedly so.

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
Jennifer Lawrence is really not that great of an actress. She's a good actress. Quite good, actually, definitely one of the better ones. She has star power as well.
However, for me she hasn't put on a performance that has really wowed me since Winters Bone, where she was fantastic. Maybe it's just me.
And Sicario getting snubbed as well as Denis is awful. Prisoners was completely ignored too wasn't it? Don't understand why both of those films, which were among the top for their respective years, are being ignored.

Yep, American Beauty and Fight Club does that by default.
The Matrix
Fight Club
American Beauty
Being John Malkovich
The Green Mile
Eyes Wide Shut
Magnolia
The Talented Mr. Ripley
Toy Story 2
The Iron Giant
It's not so much about a number of great films, but the genre precendences set and keymarks in the industry.

Meh Sicario doesn't deserve anything for me. Prisoners was the real snub.

lol yeah my mind was ahead of my typing.
Meant Slow West and also meant to say that it is a slow burn western. Also has a colourful Wes Anderson style to it.

Great movies on that list no doubt about it, but 1994 gave us 3 timeless and Hollywood landmark movies- Shawshank redemption, Pulp Fiction and Forrest Gump.

Great to see Leo scoop the Bafta for best actor. Fully deserved.
f--k Jennifer Lawrence too.

Leo didn't have to compete with Matt Damon though, since somehow The Martian was considered a 'comedy'. We'll see who takes the Oscar home.

Matt Damon doesn't have a chance in hell at the Oscars though.
Comedy category is basically a 6th place trophy at GG
