Surely in general it's about telling the story of how Palpatine took over lol? From the beginning everything was about him being in the position to eventually take over and the steps he took.

From the trade federation trying to invade naboo, to the clone wars to himself completely taking over the Senate were he basically was the Senate lol and taking down the jedi order.

Everything was carefully constructed plan from him, everything else is a side story to me.

This sounds great, if they can get a writer of that caliber to do a re-write that sounds well. I really can't wait to see how a Star Wars war-film without Jedi is going to be.

Pretty simple

Ep 1-3 was about Palpatine AKA Darth Sidious taking over in the background, meanwhile young Anakin begins his rise from pleb racer kid to young Jedi to powerful Jedi Knight to Darth banter.

I don't think I will lol. Attack of the Clones is just too terrible.

Killing of Darth Maul in ep 1 was a big mistake. The character of Count Dooku was completely unnecessary. They could have had Darth Maul fill his role for 2 and 3, he could have easily been the Vader of the trilogy. Speaking of which, I read up Dooku's backstory in Wookiepedia and got to say he is an extremely well written character. Shame the Lucas did not bother showing an ounce of creativity and just made such a legend like Christopher Lee play a cookie cutter villain pos.

Luke is not going dark side.

I think Kylo is Han's son and Rey is Luke's. Would make most sense with the ages of actors.

Brutal that Disney just put everything of "Star Wars Legacy" (post 6 episode stuff) into trash bin. Imagine some star wars geeks read all of this (comics, books) as they thought its canon. Now, forget everything you knew lol

It was never canon to begin with. So not that brutal at all.

Also getting all new stories should be something all fans enjoy.

Well they were also very shitty continuity-wise, and there was a lot wrong with it.

Seemed better to start doing canon books now, when there's a legit storygroup behind it, that can make stories that don't interfere with the movies.

Not that i've read them, but personally after 400 years of the world waiting for a sequel, i'd prefer the sequel to be completely new and not loosely based on some scrubby canon book that was written by some pleb years ago.
